Great! Congrats! I was also WL'ed at Chicago, so this keeps me hopeful that there wasn't some big, undetected flaw in my applications!snehpets wrote:I have SUCH good news for some of you! I'm posting this before I tell my parents actually just because I hope it gives a lot of you hope!
VCE today, mid-South, did have grade request, could not access the thing as you might have seen from my other neurotic posts, AND, most exciting, it's postmarked 1/26! Definitely multiple batches. My letter is dated 1/25. Perhaps smaller ones, but they're happening. Can't wait for more of you to get this news!

Congrats!
And since we're all here, anyone have favorite uses for carmelized onions?
I'm thinking of using red wine on them and just doing a sandwich thing with melty cheese.
Suggestions?

French onion soup. All you need is beef stock, white wine, french bread, and cheese.catwomangirl wrote:And since we're all here, anyone have favorite uses for carmelized onions?

I live pretty close to NYC so I am losing hope fast. Time to start weighing Penn v. NYU (unless anyone out there wants to trade a Columbia acceptance for my UChi!) I think I jinxed it because it's the only school I visited before sending apps haha.

Hahaha this happened to me too, although it was coupled with a UChi acceptance package so I couldn't feel too bad for myselfzworykin wrote:Read this. Got excited. Checked my mail. I want to know how long for late October submits like myself to give up hope. I'm in the south so I guess I'll give it to the end of the week.Elliott_Smith wrote:Congrats! Woo! Got the VCE in the mail today. To help everyone out, I did not try to Voldemort, I got a fall grades request, and it was postmarked 1/25.
It looks like they are sending out multiple waves, and sometimes the mail can be slow. Don't give up hope yet!

I apologize, I've skimmed through the thread and couldn't find the meaning of 'VCE.' Will anyone assist me?

It's "vomit colored envelope" for the color of the acceptance mailing.seahawk32 wrote:I apologize, I've skimmed through the thread and couldn't find the meaning of 'VCE.' Will anyone assist me?

Makes me believe that mine (Southeast) would have came already if it was. 10/25 submit.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
