My email had instructions (from December). I copy and pasted all the text from my unofficial transcript (not a screenshot) and sent it, and then I had my registrar send an official transcript directly to them.catwomangirl wrote:I think you get your registrar's office to email them.Mitterrand wrote:Fall Grade Request. It was in my spam folder so i missed it all day lol. Does anyone know the best way to send your new grades? The email says to email them your fall term grades asap and I was wondering if I just type in the class and the grade, or do I take a screenshot of my unofficial transcript online?
It's probably not a big deal but im borderline and don't want to screw anything up at this point.

Haha I hope that you are right, and I would guess that there probably are multiple mailings!amc987 wrote:Congrats congrats congrats to the new admits, especially Take Two, 1212, and MyLegendLives!! Incredibly exciting.
I am still sans VCE on the East Coast, but am hoping to hear good news soon (maybe they did/ are doing multiple mailings this time). You know how no one vomits one time? Once it starts, it just keeps on going. Why should Columbia be any different??
Good luck to all!

Received my VCE this afternoon. West Coast, successful Voldemort trick, postmarked the 24th.
>75% GPA, >50% LSAT.
Very excited since CLS is one of my top choices.

Today was day two of getting VCE-sized envelopes in my mail that were not VCEs. This one was from NYU, though, so that's okay

Must be because they know that you are going to get into CLS and are doing their best to woo you before it happensthelong wrote:Today was day two of getting VCE-sized envelopes in my mail that were not VCEs. This one was from NYU, though, so that's okay

Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I may be biased because I am hoping against my better instincts that I'll eventually get into Columbia, but does it seem like CLS has accepted fewer people so far than it had by this time last year??? It's almost impossible to know for sure, and LSN isn't necessarily a reliable marker because there could just be fewer applicants using it this cycle, but there definitely seem to be fewer people reporting acceptances. And by fewer, I mean at least 1/3 and maybe even 50% fewer acceptances so far than at this time last year. ETA: I counted 69 RD acceptances in Jan 2011 and 40 so far in Jan 2012.
What do others think?? Is it possible they're taking Harvard's wait-and-see approach and delaying decisions in light of the supposedly less competitive pool?

Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
yes, the number is very low, probably because Columbia will be sending several rounds of acceptances. It should be pretty comparable to NYU, which had a ton more admits during the first week of decisions than Columbia has had to date.amc987 wrote:I may be biased because I am hoping against my better instincts that I'll eventually get into Columbia, but does it seem like CLS has accepted fewer people so far than last year??? 3 observations from LSN:
1. I won't go into much detail because it was just brought up -- smaller admit numbers in general
2. Somewhat of a "soft" GPA floor thus far. It seems like taking away a couple of "points" you can draw a GPA line that admits are not spotted below (a line that is much higher than one would expect given Columbia's LSAT reputation and past cycles).
3. Relative lack of URM acceptances thus far. They are just few and far between on the LSN data so far.

did you do that one thing successfully? You not getting an acceptance yet makes me feel better about my own chances, since you will get accepted sooner or later.WhiteGuy5 wrote:Just checked my mail, no VCE. In the tri-state area.
