Good to know, this is.

Happy to help, I just browsed through 5k posts worth of lolcats and freak outs in last year's thread so I think that's right. Seemed like TLS last year was way more anxious about Columbia whereas it seems like the Chicago schools and Mich got more love this year.

Mind posting the link? Can't find it.

VCEs start around here:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... start=2900

It was almost double the size of this one this time last year.

+1!

Well that's good to know at least! It would be cruel for Columbia to send bad news in such a big envelope, especially because there is no alternative way to find out your status. Can you imagine bounding to the mailbox, seeing the big envelope, and becoming ecstatic at the possibility of an acceptance only to find out that you got dinged? That would really suck.

Does anyone know whether CLS has an Under Review status, or is the final status update Complete?

Negative Sailor. What you got is all you get. And, we have to wait for snail mail too. Columbia is so old hat.

The Chicago/Michigan anxiety is helping me forget about Columbia. Thank god.

Held at Harvard and on the wait list at Chicago. Columbia is my last chance to get out of California :| . Here's to hoping...

My guess is that we'll start to get decisions in 1.5-2 weeks. Can't wait! After a Harvard ding (and most likely YS ding/WL), CLS is my top choice.

Do Canadians have to wait for snail mail to get their results, or do they get emails like other internationals? Can't find the answer to this in last year's thread. My purple envelope from NYU is officially taking more than a month to get here, and I'm thinking that waiting that long to hear back from Columbia would drive me bonkers. :|

Yikes. I've been waiting a week a few days and it already seems like an eternity. I feel your pain.

Do you get a phone call with the letter as well like NYU, or is the only way of finding out the letter?

From what I hear, it's just the letter. Really old school.

And the madness transfers to a new thread. I get my mail sent to my parent’s house so I have to wait for someone to get home from work to see if I get anything. It’s going to be torture. I may need to get off TLS for a while until I know what happens with Columbia.

ETA: I guess this is going to happen with everyone who has a 9-5ish job, so it’s not weird. Non-special snowflake over here.

Good luck to you! Don’t be TOO nervous; that UChi waitlist is full of super smart people that Columbia is going to snatch up before Chicago can accept them.

I'm really being silly, I love nyu and keep worrying to my parents about having to pick between nyu and a better ranked school, so I'll be fine either way :)

Held by Harvard and Michigan, waitlisted by Chicago and Penn, passed over by NYU. Canadian. If I don't get into Columbia I may take my 179/3.88 to UBC law.

Haha I wish. There are indeed holes in my app, but none so egregious, to the best of my knowledge. And there are numerous Canadians who have been taken by the T6 this cycle, so I'm not so sure about my foreignness either. Oh well. I simply cannot fathom being taken by C and not NYU so I expect an imminent waitlist/rejection. My optimism has been shattered no less than five times this cycle; I won't make the same mistake with a school like Columbia. For now, I am going to seriously consider staying in Canada. Good luck to all of you.
