I've just updated my transcripts (both to Columbia and to LSAC), any idea when I will hear from them?
Im in the same boat- held ED in November. I think what happens is they will look at the held apps as part of RD in April. It didn't indicate when in the letter they sent out though, I'd presume early to mid April?

on the right hand side of your page it should read "Your profile was viewed by X number of people in the past 30 days" and you just click on that sentence. gahh - that was surprising lol My status says completed and has been "forwarded to admissions committee for review". 1/8 applicant.

Quick Question for everyone:

I know the admissions office said you can either directly submit transcripts OR submit through LSAC; do you think we have to alert anyone if we send it through LSAC or will Columbia get the update? I had actually sent mine to LSAC back in Dec, weeks before the hold. Trying to figure whether I would sound dumb for sending an email to the Office of Admissions saying so.

I'm pretty sure LSAC automatically updates schools once they receive new transcripts.

Hi Everyone,
I know that there already is a CLS spreadsheet for people who have been held or are still waiting to hear back from Columbia, but it is out-of-date now because many who listed themselves as not held have since been held after they filled out that form.
Thus, I've created a new Google Doc for everyone. If you’d like to enter your information, please do use the form; do not enter it directly into the spreadsheet. That will help prevent errors and accidental erasures.
Here is the form: --LinkRemoved--
Here is the spreadsheet summarizing the responses: --LinkRemoved--
If you see a problem with the form, please let me know, and I will change it.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Knickerbocker

If I assign a new rec letter to Columbia via LSAC, should I also email a LOCI to the school? I'm currently held and applied in Jan

I emailed a direct response saying that i appreciate the opportunity to be on hold and am looking forward to a decision and that id like to attend columbia next year. Does that count as a LOCI- should i send another one. I sent the original email last week?

i also sent them an updated transcript

Okay April! I really need to stop being paranoid this early. Hope there will still be some places in April.

If I got a VCE in April, the takeaway would definitely be "we want you... just not enough to let you attend either ASW."

Pretty sad.

Almost seems like its not a smart move. You would think they would at least want the opportunity to make the sales pitch to everyone.

For me it's not even about the ASW. When you get accepted to a school in January or February, you have 3 months to get used to the idea of going there. You rationalize the flaws of the school and get even more excited about its strengths. It's a huge advantage to be the early school, in my mind at least.
