I wrote one to accompany my fall grade update, sent it in mid January.

Have any ED deferred candidates heard back yet?

Nope. ED applicants won't hear until April at the earliest because the adcoms won't start reviewing deferred applicants until then. Unfortunately, by that time essentially ~99% of the class will be filled.

Oh oh, I want to guess!

Either:

1) Were you able to Voldemort/what date is listed on your admittance letter? (I think this is probably the question)
2) Scholly offer?
3) If 2, then would C tempt you away from H?

Is anyone else going to try and do the Columbia/NYU ASWs together? There are two options for doing this it seems, one to go to Columbia's on Feb 29/Mar 1 and NYU 1/2, or to go at the end of March - the NYU stuff doesn't start until Thursday afternoon, so I think whichever one I choose for each I would try to go to both ASWs ($ will be a factor in my decision and I don't know about either school yet, so plan on going to both).

1) packet is postmarked 1/25. Letter is dated 1/24

2) Not that I saw. If its supposed to come with the packet, then I didnt get one

3) No

How common is this Butler Fellowship? How many students receive one?

So, remember when I said that it seemed like Columbia had accepted a lot fewer people during Jan 2012 than it did during Jan 2011? Well, scratch that. It seems like there are now 67 people on LSN who are reporting acceptances as compared to 69 at this time last year. I hope there will be more rounds, but our previous theories that they're being very conservative in extending earlier acceptances may have not been accurate. F (our) Ls.

You know you want to accept us TLSers, Columbia.
