Hmm my VCE was postmarked January 24th and I haven't gotten an email about the password.Nelson wrote:I assume he's probably talking about the email they sent out with the new password for the ASW after they had to reset it. But my boyfriend saw a slip in my mailbox, and I ran there, thinking there would be a vomit comet.

Looks like I should go back to focusing on my NYU vs Berkeley decision. The vomit dream is just not gonna happen.

Nope, the email was from columbia law. It was the email about the updated password for the admitted students website. I was also able to now do the Voldemort thing with the new password so I'm definitely in too. My mailbox is set up in a horrible way that my mail has been lost before so maybe that's the reason for no VCE.

Hey everyone. Just a few things. I got my VCE last year in mid february, a week AFTER my admitted student's package. The point for those still waiting: there is no pattern, keep optimistic.
Also, I just signed up to be a tour guide at ASW and I will be calling some admits over the next few weeks to convince you that among all of your acceptances, this is the place. Very excited to meet/talk to some of you.
Congrats to all!

can you do the reverse, and tell your school that of all the applicants, I am the one?kwais wrote:Hey everyone. Just a few things. I got my VCE last year in mid february, a week AFTER my admitted student's package. The point for those still waiting: there is no pattern, keep optimistic.

I don't know what the Voldemort thing is (was?) but I got the email and was confused, because being admitted was news to me! I'm East Coast/New England to be specific, so theoretically I should have gotten my VCE if it were sent... Granted, I also changed my address to home in hopes of getting the letter over break, then felt too embarrassed to switch back to my school address. And to top it all off, my parents moved, so basically, I have no idea where that letter is...seanPtheB wrote:I guess give it a couple more days and then just contact them and let them know. You should switch it back again! There’s probably some important information in there . I wouldn’t be embarrassed about it. I wish they would just let the ones they have already decided to reject know instead of this waiting. Its just cruel and unnecessary punishment.

Meh too lazy to do detailed LSN analysis. Any one know off the top of their head when the second wave has typically started?thelong wrote:Yep, just some catalogs for the SO and another 1099-Misc. Come on second wave!JamMasterJ wrote:mailbox is empty

Actually after a quick look, it looks like every day after the 24th had a solid 7-8 acceptances, with a trend that continues daily until close to the end of Feb. Some sprinkled in March, but mostly WLs at that point.thelong wrote:Seems like a second wave in the second week of feb. Maybe next week?

Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
So I just got this weird email:
But I had never gotten an email offering me admission? My status checker page still lists me as "Complete" but no decision made...Congratulations on your admission to Columbia Law School. Recently it has come to our attention that the login information for the Admitted Student Website has been made public. Therefore, we changed the passcode to limit access to admitted students only.

It means your in. Unless you're international, acceptances come by mail. Your mail is probably just slow. Congrats!the_phoenix612 wrote:So I just got this weird email:

Long time lurker, in at Columbia via...the email with the new ASW password. I haven't received the VCE yet but then again I did move and didn't tell Columbia my new address.
Voldemort: Failed initially, worked now (I know I did it correctly the first time because I used autofill to do it again)
Grade Request: Received and fall grades sent
GPA: 3.65-3.70
LSAT: 171 and 174

Would you mind letting us know what date the VCE was postmarked when you receive it?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
