Ran here. What kind?

(Note to self: Ask Johann if pie is provided at ASW.)
Chocolate, pumpkin, apple, and sweet potato. It was awesome. And they were serving it in aprons that said "Where fun goes to dine." :)

And at Chicago ASW there is no pie :( but there is a LOT of free food.

lol to the bolded. mmmmmmmmmm to the pie. Especially sweet potato. No pecan though? If NU offers free pecan pie, then there is a clear winner.

I was personally quite upset about the lack of pecan, but I figure I'm going to be eating an entire pie of that in a few days anyway. And the chocolate pie was fantastic.

All they had left when I showed up an hour later was pumpkin.

This is what you get for not being a pie gunner.

I'll MAKE you some pecan pie if we both end up at NU, hth.

OK admittedly I'd make the pie and share it with everyone regardless of school, but WHATEVER

While we don't know each other well, I've taking it upon myself as a representative of the Ebonics Council (which totally exists) to award you, Samara, twelve G points for the bolded. Carry on with the win.

Yes! I knew working with the Black Legislative Caucus would pay dividends one day. Do I get to apply the G points to my GPA for my UChi app, 1 pt = .01 GPA? I still wouldn't be able to get in, but if I keep earning points I'd get there.

Also, I assume the Ebonics Council is the legislative body of the Black Crusaders?

My status updated from Complete 11/14 to Complete 11/22.

Not really adding to the discussion but I hadn't posted in here yet, so, yep.

I don't believe anyone has ever attempted to spend their G points on academic pursuits. I was thinking that they'd help legitimize you to the locals when we all have to brave the wilds of Hyde Park.

As for the inner workers of our council, it's a lot bigger than Jordan. Bigger than you know

Well, I spent three weeks at UChi once, so I have a good feel for Hyde Park already. :P I figure all I have to do is wear my okayplayer t-shirt and blare Sir Michael Rocks's latest mixtape and I'll be aight. More G points are always useful though. Is adjunct membership in the Black Crusaders a possibility? You guys need a liaison, right?

Well the decisions don't come out until January, so we still have plenty of time to go under review. Are you regular decision or ED?

So one of my friends, who is applying for ED this cycle, has a question. She submitted the whole app one week ago and Chicago sent her a letter saying they had received it. But her status checker has been "received" but not "completed" for the whole week without any updates. She is worried whether she is still eligible for ED application if her app is not "completed" by Dec 1st.

I have no idea about this cause I applied RD. Anyone could help?

The ED page of their website says: "The Admissions Office must receive your application and all required materials on or before December 1."

So as long as she sent the app before Dec 1, there wont be any problem right?
