Sorry to jump in here with a kind of off-topic question, but does anyone know about how long or how often Chicago grants fee waivers? Applicants with similar numbers to mine (171, 3.9) have received such waivers, and when I contacted Chicago about it they said that they do not grant solicited waivers just ones automatically through CRS, but I still have not received one (October LSAT taker). Does this mean that they do not give them to everyone with a certain set of numbers, or just that I am incredibly impatient and need to wait it out? (Or both?)

I did not get a Chicago waiver either, but I think you're better off getting your app in ASAP instead of waiting to save $80. I also believe that Chicago will reimburse your application fee if you later get a waiver. They sent out waivers a while ago, so I don't know how long you will be waiting for the potential of another waiver.

Okay, good advice. Thanks!

Yea I was an October taker also and I got one so if you haven't yet I would definitely just go ahead and get your app in.

Submitted today... joining thread.

Also, I did get a waiver although my numbers aren't very competitive so I'll probably get the big old rejected

I was also waiver-less; you should probably just bite the bullet and get your app in.

I don't think any of us can answer that question. You could email admissions if you're concerned.

Hey, I'm reading the admit/waitlist/deny chart and it looks like ED admits came between Dec 2 and Dec 4. Is that right?

No, I was just looking at the chart and it seemed wrong. That's what I thought the answer was. I just was wondering why it looked like their was a spike that early.

ETA: I need to create a fake profile so that I can ask my stupid questions without getting ridiculed (not srs, mods)

I was thinking the same Georgia, and now I know that it's random since I know of people with stats lower than yours that have gotten one already, and I'm a rum with a relatively strong LSAT although my gpa is low, so it can't be solely LSAT based + gpa based as you kill both of them. I think I'm just going to have to find a way to apply this week before I fall too far behind.

On phone so not 100% sure, but the 2 and 4 represent weeks, not dates. Chart's correct.
