Really hoping that since ED applicants had to submit additional materials by February 15, we will get a response before April.

Though LSN is not making me feel too optimistic about ever getting the answer I want...

Dear Chicago,

I submitted before Thanksgiving; can I please at least go UR?

Thanks.

I am scared about the fact that there hasn't been a WL>A EDer since like 2002.

I really hope it's just Chicago's goal to use the heck out of the WL this year in general

Yay me too! Looks like the second round of decisions came around 2/10 last year.

I went through LSN and mined out the numbers of people who reported decisions so far

The numbers from Dakure's sheet are pretty similar, but a smaller sample size.
Anyways, it looks like they are shooting for similar medians to last year.

I have a pretty unique circumstance to discuss in my Why Chicago essay, would anyone be kind enough to PM me and discuss it? I really would like some advice.

Arg, just noticed my address is fully spelled out in the status checker and cant recall if this has always been the case. I've been chilling at complete since 12/27...does this signal any kind of forthcoming doom?

I don't think so. I was sitting at complete since 12/8 up until today. They're just really, really slow.

Probably no real chance at Chicago, but I finally went under review today (1/18) after going complete on 12/9. Here's hoping that their admissions criteria are really as holistic as they claim!

Any of the admits notice that in the status checker, in the requirements list, one of the items is a "glass menagerie photo" ? :)

I'm sure it means something, I just can't imagine what.

hahahahaha. I just noticed that too. Is it a reference to the play? Considering it's Chicago, I wouldn't put it past them.
