Just choose one for the drop down. They are going to look at your resume anyway

I can't imagine that it matters either, but it does give you the option of listing high schools.

I'm having the same problem as you Hawkeye Pierce. The problem is that the prompt asks you to submit all educational institutions you attended, so I feel like we would have to include it in order to follow the instructions.

Edit: grammar

Perhaps one of you guys should email the admissions office about it? Just say you're having the problem and ask what they would like you to do. They're v helpful!

Just checked mine. I added the high school and it also isn't showing any academic information in the preview. I'm not sure if it was before or not.

It also keeps deleting my masters and doctoral work. I think maybe it only allows 4 entries. No matter which degrees I list, it always loses the start date of #4.

I think you can switch between RD and ED after you start filling it out. I started the RD app and deleted it, and then both apps became available.

LSAC seems to say that if you start an ED app though, you can't switch to an RD.

That's strange. I feel like you should be able to switch at least until you submit payment.

Some schools only have the one app and you mark on it whether you're applying ED; you can change that right up until you submit. What causes problems are the schools who for some reason have two entirely separate apps on LSAC for ED and RD and you need to make your pick just by selecting which app to start. I think the latter arrangement is moronic and I'm not sure why all schools with ED don't just keep one app where you specify within the app itself.

We need to contact LSAC directly about the application issue re:education.

Yeah, it's stupid. If you select to start an ED app though, a window pops up warning you that once you select the ED app, you can't select any app for that school this cycle. It's not entirely clear that you can still change it before submission, but I didn't want to take the chance by clicking on it.

From what I remember, it makes it pretty clear that you can't switch after starting. I don't think the problem with the system is that it's confusing, but rather that it's digitization of a process leading somehow to a situation where students have less control and discretion and where decisions are harder to change; usually the opposite happens when you move to an online electronic process.

Ummm...not great news from LSAC. She said she'd look at it, but the application shouldn't be up yet. They are still re-vamping their application process and its likely that any apps up now will be lost when they complete the process in the coming week. Apparently, it will look very differently when complete. Her recommendation was to sit tight

Yes, this exactly. I must have misread your post. RC fail.

Anyone else having an issue with the Joint Programs page? Every time I click on the link (either from the dropdown or the original application page), it says LSAC had a navigation error or something. I'm not applying for anything but straight JD, but still figure it would be worth it to access the page at least once.

I think if you want just the JD you check the box stating "This Section Doesn't Apply to Me". I don't know what to do if you can't access the page itself.

I just tried calling U Chicago (772.702.9484), but no one picked up and all I got was some message.

So, I'm sending them an email regarding the education section in the application.

I just got a reply:

We do not require high school info in the education section.

Good call. High school is extremely unrigorous and I'm not sure why law schools would care about it.

Yeah, I didn't think it was required. But I just wanted to be 100% sure. Not squandering my chances at admissions over some tiny misstep

Did you read my earlier conversation with LSAC though? The section is still not working properly. My grad degrees won't show up. It keeps deleting start date information from the fourth school anyhow, and won't save data (although it appears to) past that. She said we may lose all the application information because they aren't done with the re-vamp of the section until Sept 1st.

I'm probably not going to apply until September 2 or 3. Do you think that will hurt my chances?

I read an article on the LSAT Blog about changes to LSAC's application this year. According to the article, they are using a different format than they have in years past.

If anyone is interested in checking it out, here is the link: http://lsatblog.blogspot.com/2011/07/ls ... exapp.html

Fail HP. SS Chicago area code is 773, not 772.

I did read that. If they do reset the application data, it won't be that big of a deal, since it only takes 5-10 minutes to fill out.
