Ahhhh. Why has there been no news yet. I have had 3 UR dates (last one 1/9).

It was mean of Chicago to tweet about making a big batch of RD decisions soon on Monday and wait this long to notify people. I'm all for transparency in the admissions process, but I don't appreciate when adcomms cry wolf. Do what you have to do, make your decisions, and then notify people. There's no reason to reverse the steps.

Soon to an adcom means "this week". Soon to a TLS crazy (like me) means it's in the mail.

TBF they never said they were making them soon, just that they were working on them.

Working on BIG batch of RD decisions for files *completed* in Sept. through end of Nov. Still powering through apps - stay tuned...

Last year the admissions office posted the following on 1/6/11:

RD update 1: Comm. working hard to finalize a big group of decisions, including Sept., Oct., and Nov. completed files, hopefully this week.

RD update 2: We review and release decisions in groups in date order. Thanks for your patience Sept. and Oct. files. Will post update soon.

RD update 3: Comm. meeting tomorrow. We will start releasing decisions Monday.

RD update 4: Decisions will be on large group of files. Sorry for the wait - files have been strong and Comm. has some tough decisions.

Then on 1/10/11, they wrote:

Making (many) admit calls today! If we miss you, don't worry about it. We'll send an email at the end of the day with the info you need.

I think this year's "BIG batch" Tweet was in line with the first one from last year. I do believe they were going for transparency. That said, the Tweet about snow today was just mean.

I really hope they get their decisions out tomorrow. Wait any longer and they're going to overlap with the beginning of the Columbia VCE freakout.

I predict that they're never going to tell us. They plan to deal with the drop in LSAT takers by not having a class of 2015... but they are going to keep our application fees.

It's after 4 here, brah. Also, it's the first sizable snow of the year in the city, so if I were an adcomm I'd probably not want to stay super later since it will be dark and even colder.
