Not necessarily.
It says "Today is the day for ED admits". Idk, I think it is pretty obvious what is happening those of us who were left behind. And given that they call all admits, I don't think saying "the first round of admissions calls" could possibly refer to ED apps only. So.

The tweet says "ED calls are done for this week."

Keep in mind that ED calls are always acceptances.

Wow, that is a pretty pessimistic reading of the tweets. I read that as "today is the day for only ED admits" not "today is the day for all ED admits." But you know, there's really no way to know your decision until you get it.

It seems a little baffling. Luxxe and I share notable geographic and numerical similarities. It certainly seems that more calls are to come, and, as far as I know, they don't call WLs/dings.

Congrats to all the admits, and good luck to those of you still waiting.

And did I hear TemporarySaint got in? Cool incoming class secure.

I woke up 5:30 am local time, desperately checking my email inbox. Nothing.
Since I am an international applicant, I don't think they will call. So I will take it as a ding?

I also like Jam.

As far as speculation goes, though, I'm with soj.

Numerically the acceptances didnt make complete sense...some later calls would sort that out. Or maybe uchi is as holistic as advertised. Either way what I would give to be a fly on that wall...

Stopping at Starbucks on a lengthy road trip. Pulled out my laptop and logged in just to check on you guys. Congrats to everybody so far and fingers crossed that some more ED admits will happen soon.

Ditto. I think it would have been better if we hadn't been told they were done for the week, but maybe that's just me.

numbers?
We're trying to figure out whether or not they're done with ED admits. With luxxe's 169/4.0 and my 3.5x/176 we think that there's a chance that they aren't finished.

I want to believe this so badly, ugh. Splitters/reverse splitters with both lower GPAs & LSATs than both of us were admitted ED (I know 3.96 versus my 4.0 is nothing, but still). The only thing that is keeping me holding onto this tiny shred of hope is that they spent less than 1 hour making calls, versus 4+ in years past - clearly I spent that entire agonizing hour refreshing this thread and going through 2 years of uchicagolawapps twitter updates.

But..... I don't. They haven't made multiple batches of ED admits in the past (and I still hold to my pessimistic interpretation of their tweets ), and even if they were going to break tradition this year, why would they wait an entire week to release another batch?

Imma stop sad sacking this thread now, promise! Congrats again, everyone!!

I refuse to believe that you two weren't accepted. It would make no sense.

off for Christmas?
But seriously, I understand one of us (me) not getting in, but a splitter with an OK gpa and a reverse splitter with an OK LSAT score both not getting in seems strange

Jam I'm sure you are getting in. You have a better LSAT and gpa than I do.
