I'm wondering if I should apply to HLS and not ED to any school.
I have 171(168 first time I took) and 3.99 from top20 undergrad.
What do you think is my chance of getting into HLS?
If my chance at HLS is slim, I guess it would be smart for me to ED to one of CCN.
So what do you think? :)

I wouldn't ED anywhere.

You'll get into one of CCN RD, and you'll be in a better position to garner scholarships which could get you tons of money at other places. (I'm uber debt adverse, so I always think about this.)

And, I agree with the above poster, I'd always wonder if I could have gotten in.

I don't feel like you have anything to lose by applying to HLS and not EDing somewhere. It's not as if your admission to CCN depends on an ED.

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about if you didn't get it today...whatever their plan is, it's not "shut out all the amazing high scoring candidates"

Moc, hp, curious, free stallion, and others will definitely be getting kb1's and likely kb2's :)

Definitely apply. Let's say they play on a 172 median based on a smaller applicant field (one can dream), you're only one point below and your GPA is above the 75%, plus they may just like you based on softs and because you're from a top20 undergrad.

Though I'm tempted to tell you not to apply, because you stand a better chance than me 8)

I know.... but I'm worried that I would not get into any of T6 if I don't increase my chance by applying ED...

Thanks for your advice :)
I'm worried about not getting into any of T6.
I believed that applying ED increases your chance, doesn't it??
Does the fact that I am an international change anything?

Basically auto-NYU and I would say really solid shot at Chicago. Not sure about CLS though.

Haha you're too nice... I can only dream though! Honestly I would rather not get a kb1 if I'm going to be rejected.... that would just get my hopes up =/ Waitlisted would be ok, though, I guess! Totally jealous of everyone so far, but congrats!

Seconded. I doubt you'd have to worry about that though. (Hopefully I won't either).

Do any of you know how many early, first-round (pre-Thanksgiving) KB1 recipients receive rejections? I am aware that approximately 1000 applicants are interviewed and 800 are admitted, but I was curious to see if the interview dates of the 20% who were rejected after an interview were evenly spread throughout the year. In other words, are those interviewed now more likely to gain admission than those interviewed at a later date?

This thread makes me such a ball of nerves....

So did everyone who got interviews today apply in early Sept? I applied 10/28 and went complete only yesterday so I'm assuming if I get an interview, it won't be in the first batch?

Does your status checker say that you're under review yet?

Yep, but does that mean anything for interview emails?

I spoke to KB at a law forum a few weeks back, and she said the only decisions made in the first round are acceptances. She said it'd be cruel to reject people in the holiday season. That doesn't mean you're necessarily going to get admitted this early, but if you interview now you're not going to get WL or rejected the week of thanksgiving.

I just now remembered their multiple LSAT policy and will be promptly exiting this thread. :/
