Hold on, let me look at the data on LSN and get back to you.

Edit: looks like the latest one on LSN is Nov 2 with the Thanksgiving batch. I'd suggest just trying to get it in before the Oct LSAT scores come out.
Hmmm. So if I submit my materials right when the Oct. scores come out would I be likely to make it in the first batch? I thought about submitting before they come out but my LSAT is below the 25th percentile so I'd be dumped in the rejects pretty swiftly... I'd rather just submit with the higher score but I don't want to be disadvantaged in terms of the time of applying. I need all the help I can get!
It honestly depends on what your new LSAT score is. If it's right at median with a ~3.8, then you most likely won't be with the first batch. I think the first batch is more-or-less reserved for people with fantastic numbers. I haven't actually looked at all the data, but anecdotally, that's the impression I've gotten.

I think JR2's generally cleared out all the outright admits from the pool of prior JR1's. That is, if you have your phone interview prior to 11/21 (even the Friday before), you can get admitted with the first batch. If not, you're likely destined for a hold. If I remember correctly, the phone interview comes within a few weeks of your initial submission, sometimes sooner, sometimes later. Just glanced at last year's thread, and it supports the "very beginning of November is the absolute last you can submit to be in the first batch" idea.

Uh, I'm not sure if any of that was actually useful to say, but whatever, I said it.

Hahah. Naw, I was enlightened by your contribution. Thanks. It makes sense that they'd hold out a bit for any Oct. takers who had their crap together before they took the exam and submitted right away. I'll just submit right when I get that score and see what happens.

Yeah...uh...not good options for Harvard students. But who cares? They go to Harvard.

What's the LSAT median? I have a 173, so would that be considered as below median?
And what are my chances with that LSAT and a GPA above 75th, with average softs?

What's your GPA? As long as you put a decent amount of effort into your app and get good recs, you are fine.

Anyone notice the app is up today? Its working for me, but says it should have been available since the 10th. Pretty sure I checked Monday and it was still MIA, not positive though.

Anyhow, good luck!

Its missing the place to attach the resume, even though it is required. I'm going to use the optional essay place.

Annoying that it didn't auto-fill as well as the other apps. I hate wrestling with the characters in the fill-in the blank sections.

That's probably fine. it all shows up as one pdf document to them anyway.

Anyone else get their status checker log-in today? I got ridiculously excited just to be able to log-in and see MY status at HARVARD LAW SCHOOL. Nuts. Nuts. Nuts. Of course, it just says "incomplete" but still, its a status. :D

Yup! Also, that they are "delighted" that I chose to apply.
