LMAO. Too bad we're in the same boat. Maybe there will be more JS1s next week??? Or we're doomed. It could be that too.

There's a bunch of stuff a couple pages back on recent JS1's. I would flip through that before Monday.

+1 OMG...Sharkboy, thank you so much for this post - you inspired me to turn in my TLS V-card and make my first post! I have never experienced someone channeling my feelings so accurately, but this one fits the bill. Thank you, thank you, thank you. :o)

If any JS1ers or JS2ers want to discuss their experiences via pm, I'm totally game (I'm of the former variety). The waiting game (a.k.a. recounting the conversation multiple times and day and wishing you had said something different) has proven to be a lot tougher than I thought - hang in there everyone! I'm sure moar JS stuff is coming soon!

Can anyone post the dates of the remaining ASW's? Still on "hold" but trying to make contingency plans. Thanks in advance.

JS1 decisions by the end of this week? I saw that some more were scheduled for early this week, monday or tuesday and my hopes are that we hear back by the end of the week. This could be reasonable...I think. Not that I am confident about my JS1 experience at all.

Well, it's been nice knowing you all! It's clear what's coming to my inbox soon...

Keep positive friend you never know :)

Sooo, I got a hold email about an hour after this exchange. But in my pessimism, I actually read "the committee has reviewed your application and DECLINED to hold it for further review." That struck me as particularly awkward wording, but I figured they're just getting creative with the ding prose. Then I re-read it and realized they've DECIDED to hold my application :D

I know, but I have to admit my own apparent dyslexia caused the cruelty in this case... :D

I was just browsing through last year's cycle on LSN, and I found something very disturbing. I want to share the knowledge with all of you in hopes that it will weigh less heavily on me...

The last batch of straight acceptances last year came on 3/14. After that, there was only one more acceptance on 3/22. From then on, it was bloodshed.

I know this year is a little different, but I can't help but hear a giant imaginary clock counting down the hours to Wednesday, the 14th.

Last year's holds -> JS1 happened much earlier than they did this year. I don't think last year's cycle is a good predictor of what's going to happen this year. Remember that a few JS1 emails JUST went out, and I'm sure more will come in the next week or so.
