The rec letter should show up in 2-3 days or fewer after it's assigned. I'm pretty sure it's sent electronically.
Thanks. I was thinking that I might want to email Harvard a LOCI at the same time.
Isn't Harvard the one school where you DON'T email stuff?

I think for LOCIs you want to submit by snail mail, but the general consensus seems to be that you should only do that after you get news of a hold.

Ah. Is the snail mail/holding off part true only true for Harvard or does it apply to other schools as well?

"Other schools" is a large category, but in Harvard's neck of the woods, no.

Edit: That sounded stupid. Keeping it because I live with no regrets.

Can you give us your stats (LSAT, GPA, what kind of school you attended, URM status, etc.) and tell us when you submitted, were under review, and held? Any info would be much appreciated!

I went UR on 1/31 and I have a sub-75 LSAT and a median GPA.

Why haven't I been rejected yet?

i just worry about those of us that have neither been placed on hold nor received JS1 emails...
if i'm going to be rejected or waitlisted, i'd rather know sooner rather than later! i'm surprised the holds are seeing movement before those of us just chilling UR

Because unless you meant sub-25 LSAT, those numbers make you a very competitive applicant.

Congrats to the JS1s, I too got one from the hold pile. I'm super nervous/excited. Stats are in the profile, and I submitted mid-November and was held in early February. Good luck everyone!
