Ha! You know what I realized? If someone gets rejected today, it's like it never happened!

On the downside, if someone gets a JS2, it also never happened... :D :D

Thanks a lot Byz, going to be stressing all day now. Every damn time the phone vibrates I jump out of my skin. Also you were right, post JS1 is a different type of stress.

Definitely stressing over here, too. Looks like JS has been moving pretty quickly after the JS1s; most recent admits on LSN have been getting their JS2s one or two days after their interviews.

So what does that actually mean? One of my recommenders is well-placed (HLS specific) and I only asked him for the recommendation. I know people talk about a lot of well-connected people getting into Harvard but what does that actually entail in addition to the recommendation.

Held last week.

*naive

Unless they're a very famous alum and/or donate a lot of money to the school, there's not much else your recommender can do...

Yea... I figured as much. I wouldn't say "very famous" but well known and respected. Like I said, I probably don't have the #'s but hoped some public interest do-gooder sentiment might sneak me in... can't hurt to apply

I'm banking on a certain kind of law as well. Hoping it works!

In reality it was probably meant to be alcohol. I just took a picture of a sign on campus, but we do have a few sushi joints in Ann Arbor. Would you be down with sake?

Right now that would be a felony, Mr. Onthebrink. :D It looks like you have to wait until late April. I'd definitely be down to visit Harvard before then though, and scope out the scene. I visited Harvard once when I was a kid (part of being raised by High Expectations Asian Father) and it was beauuuuuuutiful. Also wondering what churches they have in the area. Does anyone know where I can find information about religious services in the Harvard area?

Sorry, on the off-chance that this IS in fact a 30 Rock reference, I had to take a moment to show my appreciation :P

Haha I captain, your drink can be made virgin. I'll be downing cranberry juices anyway haha. For advice on things like churches etc, maybe take a shot at the Harvard students answering questions threads.

Just had my JS1 a bit ago. Not sure how well it went. She is very nice and talkative, but it's easy to second-guess yourself and wonder whether you answered things in the ideal and most concise way. I can't think of anything I said that was totally awful, though, so it was not a disaster. It lasted like 11 minutes; that's pretty normal, right?

Anyways, now I'm in the group of people waiting for a JS2. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a heart attack anytime my phone rings

Thanks, Onthebrink! I like how this page has mostly been you, Byz, and I getting super chummy as we bond over post-JS1 anxiety. I know you and I have been waiting the same amount of time (around two days), but how long has it been for Byz?

A week. My life expectancy is dropping 10 years for every day that passes. Stress is a killer.

Edit: Oh, and if we make one more post, Nulli is gonna come out of hibernation and tell us to take it the lounge.

But look on the bright side, Byz, that means you should hear soon. Also did you mention the particular type of law in which you were interested in your application? JS brought that up in the interview but I'm not sure if that's going to be an admissions factor.
