Has everyone who's been held applied mid-November or earlier?

Haha, pretty much. Fortunately I never really considered that I would get in, especially once HP got rejected. Every day that I'm not flat out rejected is pretty pleasant.Nelson wrote:Delayed ungratification eh?snehpets wrote:Held. Submitted mid-November. Speculation Time~
a.) Would it be fair to assume that those on hold are simply applications that were in matriculation during the gray area of JS entering and KB exiting?...More Holds than the typical HLS cycle.
b.) This cycle's Holds may have a greater chance of being admitted than traditionally?
What do you think TLSers??

Wow @ all these amazing applicants getting holds.
They're definitely waiting to see what the entire applicant pool looks like because of the drop. (And they should be done with that definitely by the end of the month, no?)

I've heard a couple of references to the "drop" now - is there any official word that applications at HLS have fallen, or is it still just applications to law schools in general?WhiteGuy5 wrote:Wow @ all these amazing applicants getting holds.

Well, since the LSAT is scaled. If the # of test takers as whole drops ---> the fewer top 1%-ers there are. And since the sufficient condition has been met...well...you knowcountercouper wrote:I've heard a couple of references to the "drop" now - is there any official word that applications at HLS have fallen, or is it still just applications to law schools in general?WhiteGuy5 wrote:Wow @ all these amazing applicants getting holds.

Some JS1s you mean. Which will go like:sharktankdean wrote:As the new week begins I look forward to the Giants crushing the Patriots today and some KB1s by Friday.
- Ok, Mr. X, can I call you A? Look, A; I skim-read your application and I was not entirely convinced that you really want this, you know, over others, over whatever else you might do, also you weren't exactly clear on what you would bring to the table.
- Err, look..
- When I look, the view just isn't pretty, so A, do not tell me to look, first change the view and then tell me to look, ok?
- Ms. S, listen,
- That is just pathetic, A; you should never start your sentence with "listen", you should be more confident, you should naturally assume that you will be listened to, your past experiences should have been pointing in this direction, without fail. This is the culmination of what you accomplished so far, if you are an impressive individual normally, which I do not see yet by the way, you should be doubly impressive for this interview...
- Ehhh..Ahhh..
- Another indecisive start that clearly signals a severe lack of self-confidence. I am sorry, A, but you just aren't what we are looking for. Good luck in your future endeavors.
- Uhh.
- Bye!

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
Nulli, you got it all wrong! That's how a banking interview (maybe law job interview) would work. She is a consultant. Consultants are notorious for being nice during their interviews. I think it's worse when someone is extremely nice and helpful, when you know damn well you are messing up. When the consultant becomes quiet, that's when you start to worry because they are just letting you talk and talk and make a fool out of yourself.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
