Folks who were in the earlier batch, how long did you wait between your interview and your KB2?

Has anyone who didn't get a KB2 heard anything else yet?

Good luck everybody!

All the KB2s except one were the Monday before Thanksgiving. Judging from last year's cycle, the next round of KB2s (your round) should be this Monday (12/5).

I'm the only person without a KB2, and I haven't heard anything. Last year, people who didn't get KB2s got "Held" at some point in late December.

Also just had my KB1, it went pretty well. Except she didn't ask me why Harvard, so I never really got to talk about how excited I was for specific programs. It last about 6 minutes total. Now to wait!

Good thing I have a busy day at work on Monday so that I'm not just staring at my cell phone willing a 617 call all day long tying my stomach in knots. She does leave voicemails, right?

Just cancelled all meetings. Monday will be spent in my favorite restaurant, with my phone, a shot of top-shelf tequila, and as many orders of fries as it takes. I munch on fries and read NYT all day, and if I see a 617 number pop up on the phone, I take the shot before answering.

...who am I kidding, I have no vacation days left. Distraction and paranoia at the office for me!

wait, is it actually the case that if you don't pick up the phone she just fills your spot with someone else? I can't possibly believe that's true. Don't they email you as well?

no, they dont email u, ur status checker changes into "pending admissions acceptance"....she gives u ample time to pick up and will retry several times, but she wont leave u a voicemail, and if she really cannot get ahold of u, then she will select an alternate...

she made a blog post about this somewhere, her logic was that since we r all training to be lawyers, lawyers have to be accessible 24/7, and so it starts here, the applicant must be accessible to recieve the admissions phone call or they r penalized (getting replaced with an alternate)

But you aren't forced to accept the offer on the spot, so how does that make any sense? They would have to send you something saying you've been accepted and giving you a way of committing to HLS.

I'm going to go ahead and boldly assume that his response was sarcastic. If you don't answer they leave a voicemail - I know this because I know someone who saved the voicemail and made a dance remix out of it.

Anyone received a KB1 email recently? Seems like it's been pretty quiet since the first wave, with the exception of a few here and there.

Yea, probably would have taken that with more grace were I not in London without a cell phone. I had my KB1 using a pay-as-you go phone which I then threw out.

Thederangedwang - I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to expose my neuroticism in a public forum. My days have been starkly lacking in humiliation.

You really shouldn't be spreading disinformation in these types of threads, even if it is in jest. So stop.
