It seemed like a lot of K-JDs got dinged last week? So maybe WE making a difference? That's the only thing I can think of besides a generic "must have been softs" answer. Especially since my softs are mediocre at best. I'll take it either way.

I have ~3 years of work experience plus a hard science degree if it helps.

Held today also. Was expecting a rejection, so, hooray I guess?

That would make sense. I'll have two years' V10 WE when I start school.

Also, for anyone wondering, my status checker still says under review, but it's updated to 1/9/2012.

Held. Stats are in profile.

Not sure what to think of this... Basically a soft reject?

I’m not sure. I think a waitlist would be more appropriate for a “soft rejection.” I have no idea, though. Is anyone going to send them more info?

Held. 164/169/3.78. I'm non-traditional with tons of WE, VE, and kids. WOW. Big surprise.

Not held nor rejected yet but am in the 10/13 group. 170 and 4.05. I'm getting nervous that a rejection is in my future...

I'm K-JD and got held instead of denied. Numbers are lower than many denied last week, so I don't really know what's making the difference.

People with your stats got in last cycle after being held (some after being WLd too). Your relative chances probably depend on what that 3.8 is.

Hard science major or HYP undergrad? Just guessing at other things that have seemed to help people's H cycles in the past.

Me, too. Hard science major and decently good softs (I think) for someone still in undergrad. I’m guessing softs are the difference!

You mean what I majored in? Or what my non-rounded GPA is?

To nelson and snehpets, neither cool softs nor hard undergrad. I interned for a senator who went to HLS but he didn't write an LOR or anything. My app as a whole was pretty standard but I think it was strong for someone in undergrad... whatever, im happy to not be rejected!

As of now I have been neither held nor rejected. Submitted just before Halloween, complete email 11/10. I feel like some kind of news must be coming soon, right?

So I went through last year's held thread out of curiosity. About 10 of the posters who were held eventually got JR1s, about half of those eventually got in. Others seem to have been waitlisted. So not necessarily a soft reject.

the holds seem to be in submission order...i dont't think they have gotten to those who submitted at the end of Oct. And also no hold or rejection could be mean KB1 :D

Haha, I think I'm headed for a reject. Average softs, still in undergrad. Maybe a waitlist since I'm at both medians. I'm pretty cool with heading to NYC either way :)

but thanks!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
