Out of curiously, do you know if those were the KB1 -> hold -> KB2 folks? Or were they hold -> January KB1/KB2?
I know of one Jan hold -> mid-Jan JR1 -> late Jan JR2.
from what i read in the thread, it was a little of both, though i think the kb1 -> hold -> kb2s were more in february.

Any ideas whether there's a big difference in acceptance rate between the hold-> KB1's and the KB1 -> holds?

My instinct says it's slightly better to get the KB1 first...means you were chosen for the interview first, but maybe if you get a hold after your Kb1, they really didn't like your interview, so they'd then prefer to interview people on the hold list to see if they do better?

Ahhhh. All of this KB1 --> hold talk is already making me nervous. I think I'm going to be useless until I hear something back.

+1... Also complete 11/10, wish they'd just put me out of my misery.
I'm in the same position as well. I think it might be a urm thing. Are both you guys straight out of undergrad as well?

I saw this a few times... Why are people going Under Review before being Complete? *confusions* :)

Also, what is conventional TLS wisdom about hearing (anything) from HLS once you're complete? What I mean is, do people usually get their phone interviews, if any, within 4 weeks of application completion? 6 weeks? Or is it unpredictable? If one doesn't hear anything after a month, is it safe to assume nothing good is happening?

No, I'm 1-2 years out. I think it might be a submission date thing more than a URM thing. I know that a couple of URMs who post here and on LSN were held today. I think they submitted early Oct, though.

I got my KB1 email the same day I got my complete email, but that was right before the holidays when it seemed like they were trying to move extra-quickly to get things done. It seems like the norm seems to be a few weeks, I can't imagine something like 4 weeks after complete would necessarily mean you won't be getting a KB1.

Dear Harvard,

You can't just leave the rest of us in limbo!!!! send out more hold emails ( but I would prefer a KB1 though). I am tired of refreshing my email every 10 minutes.

Thanks

Well here's why I'm asking... The status check says my file is "under review," but I never got a "Complete" email. So does this mean my file is not, in fact, under review, because it hasn't actually been put together? It's the same with NYU - "under review" but never got a "Complete" email. :|

I got my KB1 email the day after I got my complete e-mail and they were both last week

Harvard is a bit different. After you have been under review for quite a while you will receive an email saying that your application is complete. I got this email about a month after I initially submitted. The timeline after that complete email is widely variable.

Aha, so "under review" is kind of a scam at HLS :D

*Sigh.

Another day, no hold, KB1, or rejection. For all intents and purposes, I've been lost in the void.

I'm curious what it means. Are we on a waitlist or reject list? I'm not optimistic enough to believe we're on the KB1 list.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
