Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
Congrats Davidbentley! So far the URMs I've seen with KB1s have been:
Vincanity: 3.77/173
Davidbentley: 3.8/171
LaCumparsita: 4.06/170 (KB2)
All of these are pretty much shoo-in numbers, which makes me feel a little bit better about getting passed over. Have any other TLS URMs gotten in that I'm missing? Is there some 3.8/168 AA or 3.6/177 MX that I'm missing here?
Checked LSN also, only 1 URM acceptance to H so far and they had unreal stats (4.0/178). Is there a chance they might be holding off on URM apps to see what kind of applicant pool they get? Or am I just making things up to feel better about being KB1-less after being complete for a month?

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
I posted this a long time ago before any decisions went out, so I'm not just trying to make you feel better. I read through H's thread from last year and it seemed that URM decisions did take longer and that alot more were not granted KB2s even with early KB1s, but did get them later on in the spring. So I think its reasonable that some URM decisions would take longer this year again since the cycle is more variable for them.mickeyD wrote:Congrats Davidbentley! ETA: Just thought I'd add myself to your list. Also your hypothesis makes sense and I have a vague memory of reading something similar in last year's thread.

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
Many URM's on this forum that do not have auto-admit #'s, unlike the ones above, haven't heard anything for a while since going complete (myself included). My guess is that KB is waiting to see the extent of the URM application pool before making more decisions. I have a feeling after the URM's who took the December LSAT apply, then more non auto-admit URM's will start to receive decisions. This is pure speculation, but it makes logical sense.mickeyD wrote:Congrats Davidbentley! So far the URMs I've seen with KB1s have been:

For my own sanity, i am going to believe you guys!!! I submitted 10/13 and haven't heard a peep. I am not ready to accept that I'm in that unfortunate cohort of SLS accepted/HLS dinged URMs. :/
Congrats to everyone who has gotten in though. Relish in your glory.

Nope based on the past couple of cycles you're pretty accurate. HLs usually evaluates urms on a slightly different (more delayed schedule) and they generally wait on the entire pool before making all decisionsSh@keNb@ke wrote:mickeyD wrote:Congrats Davidbentley! Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
My status went to "Application Under Review" on the 13th. Is there any inclination as to when I may receive a KB1 e-mail? I know in theory it could be never, but I mean for those who generally receive KB1s, are not wait-listed, and are admitted, when is a good time frame to expect the KB1 e-mail. Thanks in advance for any help. Best of luck all!

Do you have a particular source to back this up? I hope this is true, but last year's LSN doesn't produce much of a trend:Na_Swatch wrote:Nope based on the past couple of cycles you're pretty accurate.
