Quick question, should we reply to the KB1 email? I go to a business school and usually when we get an interview email, etiquette dictates that we reply with something along the lines of "thank you for taking the time to read my app, I will definitely be there." Is this not the case for law schools?
I would do that. Just something like thanks for the opportunity I look forward to speaking with you then

The email has this sentence at the end: "If this number won't work or if the time is completely unworkable for you, please reply to this e-mail and we'll reach out to coordinate." It made me think they were only looking for replies specific to those situations since the reply email is the general Harvard admissions email and it would add to the clutter in their inbox. But I'm not sure. What did people in the last round of KB1s do?

Can we get some generic stat profiles from you guys who are getting KB1's today? (GPA, LSAT, years out of school, urm?)

Same here, UR since 10/13. LSN suggests that we still have hope of spring KB1s. Last year, there were people who applied in September who got interviewed in April. I guess it's just going to be a very long wait until the spring for some of us.
Ugh, yeah. I still wake up every morning hoping for a KB1 in my inbox.
I hope less and less nowadays.
Yeah man same here.

I *promise* it won't make a difference if you reply with a quick 'thank you' email. The email says to reply if the time doesn't work, not that you shouldn't reply unless the time doesn't work.

Yeah, I mean KB is obviously not the one reading all these emails so just do what makes you feel better.

Submitted: 10/29
Under Review: 11/7
Complete: 11/17
KB1 email: 11/29

3.9+/175

I retook the LSAT and have a decent numerical and temporal spread between my two scores - two years out of UG, graduate degree.

For those more informed about this process, what is the significance of getting a KB1 at this time (having the interview, getting the email earlier in the month)? I'm assuming it's a decent sign, but is it any different than getting a KB1 later in the process? I applied 10/24 and had my KB1 yesterday. Seems like in the past the next round of KB2 came around 12/7?

For those who are going to have one soon or are anticipating one: we talked for just a few minutes, she was very nice, asked me what I have been doing with my time, what attracts me to law school, and anything I'm interested in specifically. I asked her a few questions and that was it. This is definitely not worth the perseveration; you should have answers to those questions, but don't pre-script anything because you'll just sound too robotic. These are generic questions and they are probably as much of a tool to gauge your interests and fit for Harvard as they are an indicator of how "normal" and pleasant you are to engage with.

anyway, good luck to everyone.

I don't know if I'm necessarily more informed, but in general, early KB1s have higher percentage of KB2s. In this cycle and in past, first round KB1s are almost certain to get KB2s in the first round or later in the cycle - I'm not as sure about 2nd round KB1s/KB2s or later, but I believe it starts getting less certain later in the cycle (to get to that 800KB2s/1200ishKB1s percentage) though you could check the past Harvard threads or LSN.

Good luck to those of you getting KB1s this week and next, I hope you guys get some good news for Christmas - and extra good luck to those of you still waiting :D

I got my KB1 e-mail yesterday, and for those looking for stats...

LSAT: 174
GPA: 3.9x
URM: no

Just graduated from undergrad this spring (so I'll be one year out). Some softs like internships, awards, etc. but nothing crazy.

first and foremost congrats to everyone who's gotten in so far, really an unbelievable accomplishment. i am 1000 kinds of jealous.

personally, looks like i'm in this same group though. i checked in on this thread a couple weeks ago my last time home from base, and people told me generally to chill out and wait (i'm at 3.8, 179). made it back from base again today bummed to find another empty inbox - unfortunately looks like the consensus at this point is a little less rosy.

When did you submit? With those stats and your background, I wouldn't panic yet.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
