Nothing special. Mine is basically the same. Complete on 2/2 but status checker says 1/27.Geneva wrote:I went under review on 1/23, but then got a second "Your application is complete" email a few days ago. My status checker only shows the 1/23 date and my recs and app materials were all received before then.
What does this mean?

This. But mine is tomorrow!Elliott_Smith wrote:Congrats!DFog wrote:I Just completed my phone interview today. Does anyone here know how long it has been taking from KB/JS1 until people get a decision from Harvard (KB/JS2 or otherwise)?
How did it go? Any insight for someone who has one scheduled in two days

Mine is tomorrow too. Pretty nervous but I figure I can't say anything too wrong in an interview under 10 minutes long.mikeylikesit wrote:This. Pretty standard stuff. Know your résumé, why you want to study law, and what areas you want to study. It's over before you know it. Good luck to everyone!

Hmm according to a friend who had the JS1 today she's changing up the questions--asking mainly about your PS/Resume.

Do all candidates go under review twice and interview twice before getting accepted?
Sorry, just want to make sure I understand the process here. Starting to worry that it's a bad sign that I've been UR 1 for 3 weeks with no movement...

That might have to do with your friend having a particularly interesting PS/resume rather than a trend, but I guess we'll see after the interviews on Thursday.Curious1 wrote:Hmm according to a friend who had the JS1 today she's changing up the questions--asking mainly about your PS/Resume.

You go under review after they've received all of your application material. Then, generally, you get an email saying you're complete a little while later. After that you might receive an invitation for an interview - that's the JS1. The JS2 is the acceptance call saying you got in (it's not an interview).Geneva wrote:Do all candidates go under review twice and interview twice before getting accepted?

I wouldn't be worried at all. Three weeks is a really short time. There's a good chance they haven't even finished looking at your application. Just hang in there for a bit and hopefully good news will come your way soon.

Thanks for the encouragement:-) Do you think it would be inappropriate to send along an additional paragraph/page statement highlighting my work experience? I really regret not saying more about how my job and volunteer experience apply to my career aspirations and have prepared me for exactly what I want to do w/ my law degree...curiouscat wrote:I wouldn't be worried at all. Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
I had my JS1 today. Not the standard questions I had expected, but still pretty relaxed and short (about 10 minutes). Advice: Know what area of law you want to practice and why. Be able to explain what you are doing now and how that connects to law school or your area of interest (if not in undergrad). JS is really conversational, so no need to be worried! Hopefully we will hear about more JS1s soon!
Has there been a pattern in the past of amount of time between a JS1 and a JS2? It is hard with JS being new, but any ideas?

Had mine today too - went pretty well. About the same feeling about the questions - seems to be a little more personal than the KB calls. Lasted about 10 mins. JS is extremely nice and very easy to talk to.ArchitectOfPeace wrote:I had my JS1 today. Not the standard questions I had expected, but still pretty relaxed and short (about 10 minutes). I think last week's very first set of JS1s heard back extremely quickly - like a day or two later.

Received my complete email 2/2. How long should I expect to wait for a KB1 before I can assume I'm a hold/reject?

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
Had an awesome time on the call (roughly 13 minutes long). Very informal and not the common questions I was expecting to hear.
Was asked in-depth about my WE and how it tied in to the law I wanted to practice and why I wanted to go to law school. Be ready to give quite in-depth answers.
Overall was very personable and I felt like we could've talked for a lot longer (hopefully the feeling was mutual). Good luck to everyone else who has calls today and tomorrow!

Eeek. Recent replies in this thread sound like JS is veering a little off from the usual interview questions. If it's about Resume/PS though, that shouldn't be too bad right?

I wouldn't. As long as you know why you want to become a lawyer, why you want to go to Harvard and you know your Resume backwards and forwards (which you presumably do, because...its your life) you will do great. I mean, what else could she possibly ask?.....right?brettashley wrote:Eeek. Recent replies in this thread sound like JS is veering a little off from the usual interview questions. Haha I know. I'm trying to tell myself that there really isn't anything about this interview I won't be able to handle, but it's still a bit nervewracking. I really am relieved to hear people report that JS seems easy to talk to.FryBreadPower wrote:I wouldn't.
