Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
I wrote a 4 page outline to KB type questions. Never even looked at it.
The conversation was very pleasant. Don't be nervous... they've likely already decided upon you, you just have to not totally bollocks it up

It took me about 30 minutes, just talking points about things I know I ramble about, and knew I needed some help being concise with.Syme wrote:I pray this is a joke.bogm2012 wrote:I wrote a 4 page outline to KB type questions.
Still, I mean, let's step back and realize the medium in which we are having this conversation. If you want to be blase and carefree about law school admissions - especially Harvard's - you may have come to the wrong place. In addition, we both aspire to grad schools that will undoubtedly be chock full of Type A, neurotic and overly-prepared gunners who will soon make my action look like slacking.
So yeah, I have since come on and counseled people to chill, but with a new dean and scant time to prepare, it didn't seem like overkill.

So when are the js1 scheduled for? No one from last week mentioned when they were having the interview.

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
Do you think they go in order of submission dates? It's just odd that one guy submitted in early January and another in early December. Doesn't seem to be exactly "ordered." I'm curious what happened to the other December submits? Also, seems like Elliot had to do something grand, as he is not auto-admit from a numbers point of view. (Rhodes/Marshall/Gates/Fulbright or worked at some prestigious place.)

OK, time to lose faith, now that even a January submit has gotten a JS1 and I haven't

12/1 submit and UR since 12/23. Does this mean that my app is in the queue for review, or am I in a limbo state?

The earlier kb1s in the fall were not necessarily by submit order so I wouldn't lose any hope.

No, no, of course I know it's not hopeless, but until now I could take refuge in the thought that they just hadn't gotten to my 12/23 application... But if they're interviewing someone who submitted in January, it seems they have probably gotten to it and silence is bad.sharktankdean wrote:hypothalamus wrote:OK, time to lose faith, now that even a January submit has gotten a JS1 and I haven't

Um. JS1. Completely unexpected.
Submitted 12/20, UR since 1/4 but I got the complete e-mail 1/12 (?), and JS1 email today.
GPA around 75th, LSAT around 25th so... I'm just stunned.
Oh, and interview scheduled for Thursday of this week.
Good luck to others interviewing, and I hope people still waiting hear from Ms. Soban soon!

Congrats!
Just an unusual application put together pretty well and some pretty strong softs. I'm definitely not one of the people that is just interviewed as a formality.

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
So I'm still languishing, JS1-less...
I'm clinging desperately to the hope that even though I submitted in mid-November and got the complete email in mid-December, my new LSAT score and updated transcript in mid-January may have held things up, thus causing a delay in the review of my file. If that's not the case, though, it seems I'm probably out of luck
Also, congrats to the JS1 recipients!

On a scale from 1 to 10, how pathetic is it that I check my spam forlder 10 times a day in hopes that my JS1 email got caught in there?

I Just completed my phone interview today. Does anyone here know how long it has been taking from KB/JS1 until people get a decision from Harvard (KB/JS2 or otherwise)?

I heard back on a Thursday and my KB1 was that Monday, but others have had a quicker KB2 and others have had to wait a couple weeks if I remember correctlyDFog wrote:I Just completed my phone interview today. Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
It varies. Some people have gotten KB2s 1-2 days after their KB1 while others have to wait a bit longer. I would guess that about a week give or take a few days would be a reasonable expectation, though I wouldn't necessarily worry if it took a bit longer. If you don't get a JS2, you may be held before ultimately getting waitlisted in April.DFog wrote:I Just completed my phone interview today. Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
I went under review on 1/23, but then got a second "Your application is complete" email a few days ago. My status checker only shows the 1/23 date and my recs and app materials were all received before then.
What does this mean?
