I still maintain that we are headed towards Sar'lacc, to be digested over a thousand years.

I actually agree that those with strong #'s who haven't heard back should be expecting a KB1. looking at your profiles it makes sense...Harvard is till looking at high gpa's. Dani has a 3.9 and LSP has a 4.0. I would be shocked if you get bad news. You guys have it in the bag.

I'm hoping the hold pile gets some positive action in the coming weeks...
Looking at this cycle can we say that Harvard has admitted less people when compared to other cycles? Or is the trend the same?
When do you think they will start looking at more people with 3.8s?

So as far as we know there were no KB1 invites last week amongst the TLS crowd, right?

Sorry to be lazy, but it seems like a few people already went back and did the research so I will appeal to their generosity: when and what did the "forgotten" pile (the people who submitted in Sept/Oct/Nov who have not been rejected or held) hear back from Harvard?

Were they just eventually rejected or held outside of the initial spurts? Were they all later rejected or accepted, or did they also end up with some holds?

I'm just confused about what this means. I have decent numbers and WE (and am not K-JD) that at this point I expected to have earned me a hold. They've had their opportunity to reject me and seem to have passed, but they've certainly had ample time (3 months) to offer me a KB1, which they have not yet done.

Was there anything to be gleaned from what the people in the "forgotten" pile eventually encountered?

It seems like it was a bit of a mixed bag last year... I would say a solid quarter or so on TLS were eventually accepted, and the rest were a mixed bag of holds and rejections... though somebody please correct me if that's wrong!

A quarter accepted? Well that means all of us have twice the odds of admission compared to the general pool, right?

So can we say at this point that...

In > KB1 no KB2 (people like vicanity) > silence (if more than 2 months complete) > held > wait-listed > dinged

Is that right?

Does complete mean when you get the complete email, or when you go UR?

Either way-- I'm talking about the people who've had radio silence for more than 2 months, which is what KB says takes to reach a decision.

Held here. If I send a GPA update should I ask my school to send an official transcript to Harvard or LSAC or is it enough just to email their admission office with a scan of my transcript? And I'm assuming that a LOCI or why Harvard isn't going to help much right? Thanks for the help and good luck to everyone still waiting!

No. Go back a few pages and read about the people from past cycles who went JR1 > hold > JR2.

Haven't been "held" yet. Sent addendum/LOCI thing a week+ ago.

Edit: I'd also bet that I skip the hold and jump right into the waitlist or ding.

So that's another group of people then, KB1/Hold

Not sure where they would fit on the continuum.

Went complete a bit late in the cycle (1/3) I feel like on this thread my whining for a KB1 would be met with a get in line but still would love progress.

It is possible that you would get straight WLed or dinged but I thought that at least last year JR1 people were held first. Since I don't think any KB1s have been held yet, I think you'd see a hold first. And holds seem to have no effect on decision outcomes.
