I know! Times like this I wish I didn't know about TLS because I would be sitting here blissfully unaware that emails have started going out. As it is, I just wait until tommorrow!pineappledazzler wrote:I'm guessing post-5pm we can expect an end to any emails for the day? Knowledge of this site has made me way more interested in my email!

Boosted your GPA up by half a point in only 2 months. I'd love to know that secretpaperflower wrote:got an e-mail today as well. around noon.

Alternatively, these people may be the ONLY admits, rumor has it that Harvard is reducing its class size to about 100.LaCumparsita wrote:What does it mean, what does it mean? Are these people auto-admits??

Yep, they're probably reducing to 100 and shooting for a 172 median. Both of these things are fine with me.Nulli Secundus wrote:Alternatively, these people may be the ONLY admits, rumor has it that Harvard is reducing its class size to about 100.LaCumparsita wrote:What does it mean, what does it mean? The other post was for a close friend who's not on TLS.
I don't care if you don't believe this. Just trying to help out with those collecting stats.

For the record, I read this on my iPhone, and thus did not originally see your copyright notice, and had a brief moment where my face looked like my avatarNulli Secundus wrote:Alternatively, these people may be the ONLY admits, rumor has it that Harvard is reducing its class size to about 100.LaCumparsita wrote:What does it mean, what does it mean? I also got the email! no idea what I did to deserve this, but so excited! applied late sept, complete by mid october, stats: 172/3.9x. I'm abroad, so waking up and reading that email first thing in the morning gave me a massive heart attack, haha.MyLegendLives wrote:kulshan wrote:This is what people have reported so far, as long as I didn't make any mistakes:

KB seems to be putting more weight on GPA?
also, I don't see anyone who submitted 9/15 get KB1, but one submitted 10/2 got it. So no relationship between these two?

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
Can someone who knows more than me please clarify the signification.
I am a URM with 170 LSAT and GPA above median.
What does it mean if I don't get one of these and I submitted mid/late September?
How nervous should I be tomorrow at 4pm when I havent gotten one?

for all those interested, the only difference in my status checker is that in the mailings box, there is new communication which says "interview scheduled"..other than that, no change
i wouldnt check the status checker since it doesnt update that fast at all...i literally checked my status 15 min before i got the email and my status checker still said the same thing...so complusively checking ur status is not as efficient as compulsively checking ur email

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
You shouldn't be nervous. After freaking out all day about this, I finally realized how futile it was to do so. A minimum of 196 people have applied. A glance through LSN tells me many of them will likely get interviews. Obviously, not everyone will be scheduled on day one. Some people may not get scheduled on week one. It's only 11/3. Worry if you haven't heard in December or January, not if you didn't hear in the first 5-8 hours they sent out emails.admisionquestion wrote:Can someone who knows more than me please clarify the signification.

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
I know the sample size is WAY too small to make any sort of generalizations, but (*cue silly speculation*) maybe HLS is betting on a 172 median for this class, for some reason. 4 172s out of ~10 seems strange, but again, small sample.

I'm honestly a bit surprised that I received an invite so quickly. I know Harvard likes Americorps, and I am a TFA corps member, so maybe that's part of the reason.

Yeah I'm really surprised I heard...seems like I'm the lowest overall so far too... I am non-urm and don't have any spectacular softs...maybe they put mine in the wrong pile
I'm sure it's nothing to worry about if you didn't get it today...whatever their plan is, it's not "shut out all the amazing high scoring candidates"
Moc, hp, curious, free stallion, and others will definitely be getting kb1's and likely kb2's
