Can someone just get me into NYU already, I mean JEEEEZZZ. I've been stalking LSN and every URM around my numbers (same LSAT/worse GPA even) got in... I hope that applying later didn't completely destroy my chances... good news is I had a successful interview today at a big NYC law firm, so worst case scenario I work at this firm for two years then reapply to NYU bah. comon let me in.

You're probably better off at Fordham if you can get off the WL

that's what i'm thinking too .. really hope i get off the WL there

i heard they do REALLY utilize it so i guess that's good

Not sure if this is just me, or if NYU just does this, but my requirements list and fee section is blank. I'm pretty sure that when I checked last week, they weren't. Maybe I'm just misremembering or making something out of nothing but it is sort of weird. This happening to anyone else?

Wow NYU moves fast! I submitted 1/20 under review 1/30. Hopefully that doesn't mean they saw my numbers and decided to just auto reject!!

Does NYU have an application status checker on their website like CLS and HLS? I submitted 1/26 and haven't heard anything from them yet.

It's a legal assistant position at a big firm (don't want to say which one to avoid a jinx). In terms of qualifications, it's an entry level position so I suppose a BA and extensive "softs." I interviewed with an old friend of my mentor, so hopefully it ends up well. But IDEALLY, I'll be at NYU this fall.

That happened with me. I actually emailed NYU a few weeks later and they told me my app was fine.
Then, a few weeks after that, everything went back to normal

I've been under review since 10/27. I'm not freaking out or anything but it seems a little weird. Or is it common for NYU to go a long time without updating?

I've been UR for almost as long - since 11/11 - and I think the consensus is that it's probably not a good thing. Anyone else care to weigh in?

Yeah, that's what I figured. I'm out at Columbia and Chicago, too, so I'm not optimistic. Should have applied early decision; oh well.

under status checker it says decision sent as of today. Had only been under review since 1/24 abd no dice with the asw login. Does this mean the bad news i think it does?

I wouldn't assumed bad news... I thought other people got dinged via email, and if I remember correctly, after the first round of ED admits, there was some delay on being able to login to the asw? Sorry if any of this is incorrect.

Anyways, if anything, I'd actually think it was positive until you get a ding email.

UR since 10/26 here, I'll join in on the consensus that it's not a good thing. I've effectively and almost entirely written NYU off. I think out of limited samples people have found a few examples of people in our sitch getting in in February/March/April but it's like 2/12 and again that sample size is very small.
