I've read WL posts from the major schools around the State of Georgia. Those schools have had significant movement from waitlists. What's the deal with UGA? Anyone have any ideas? Have anyone spoke with any admissions people? If so, what have you heard?

I wish I knew. I would rather know if and when anyone will be accepted. I have a feeling if anyone is accepted it will be the first day of orientation. The wait is killing me!!!

What are everyone's plans otherwise?

I saw only one response on here where someone was accepted...how did you hear about others? Do you know how many?

i saw that 2 people had been accepted off the wait list on LSN recently. not sure if the same person on this thread is one of those 2 or a 3rd. the email they sent made it seem like they had not accepted anyone off the wait list yet... so that was confusing.

I just saw that as well. The 1ega... person's update is fairly new, but it came after someone who was admitted withdrew. But I got the impression, too, that they had not been accepting anyone off the waitlist yet based on the emails they have sent regarding the WL. The admissions office also acts like it has not accepted anyone, so I have no idea. I would like to know, though...

The way it is looking, there are at least 4-5 2Ls transferring out. I don't know if this will trickle down into having a bigger 1L class, but they might be looking to make up for the loss.

Thanks for the response! that is great insight you have there. I sure hope if means they will be excepting more students off the wait list and haven't already accepted more students to make up for the loss ...even if it means waiting to hear until the very last moment!

Yeah, same here...oh well. What's your plan? I'm not quite ready to pay private school tuition, so I'm going to reapply in a few weeks.
