Fordham is the better choice. It is the best school in New York out of the top 14.

I voted Fordham, but I don't know if the job prospects at Fordham would outweigh the debt accrued there. Perhaps some other posters can shed some light on this. Yes, ceteris paribus, Fordham > Cardozo. But I don't know if Fordham at sticker > Cardozo w/ no debt.

Does the Cardozo scholarship include a CoL stipend? Not that familiar with Cardozo's job prospects, but if you really mean that you'd graduate with very little debt (less than 50k), then that doesn't sound too bad (meaning you'll be okay financially with a (relatively) low paying law job in NYC). The problem with Fordham at full cost or near it (~200k), is that you are kinda fucked financially if you can't land that BigLaw job (not kill yourself fucked, but you'll probably regret not going to cardozo for free).

I voted Fordham but minimizing debt may be TCR here. Cardozo is definitely the safe bet here.

The chance isn't so bad at Dozo (compared to Fordham). It's far easier to be in the top 10% than at Fordham. However, since it is arguably NOT easier to be in the top 10% at Dozo than the top 25% at Fordham, I am NOT saying you have a better chance at Biglaw at Cardozo, it's just not 1/2 the chance (as the numbers people are throwing around imply). I'd estimate it as closer to 3/4.

You need to be sure you're going to crush it at Cardozo though. It's kind of hard to know in advance, and honest self-assessment and the advice of people (ideally attorneys) who know you will really guide your decision here...

The same applies at BLS

Here's what you don't want to do (I know this isn't relevant to OP with a full ride to Dozo) -- go to a St. Johns or Hofstra where you need to be in the top 5%...that is much much more of a crapshoot, since there's going to be a half dozen or so great students at all these schools...
