Sorry I've been MIA, the second semester of law school they try to kill you right from the beginning, they don't give you those few precious weeks where you can do all of your reading and still have time to watch Family Guy (or do some programming) like they do the first semester. Did it start working again?bmili wrote:Have PC version but kept getting an error this morning when trying to launch, anyone else?
I also get the connection error for Americanzurcaled11 wrote:Downloaded on my Nexus One, works great.
American-Connection Error
Baylor - works
Boston College - works
Cornell - works
Duke -works
Georgetown -Application Access Error
Southern Methodist -works
University of Houston -works
University of Virginia -No status reported
College of William and Mary - works
Boston University, University of Colorado-Boulder, and University of Notre Dame, have lsac status checkers but I didn't see them in the list. Just fyi.
I'd like to still be working on updates, but it's difficult while I'm in law school. I at least had some free time first semester, not so much this semester. It would be a lot easier if the updater I use didn't cause mass problems, I need to create my own. If you could PM the link to the tracker though, that would be great, I've been keeping a list of ones people have mentioned are having problems and ones that people would like to be added.divtheshin wrote:Actually, I don't know if you are still making updates on the program or not, but I did not see Willamette University on the list.
Georgetown I know about, they've changed their link since I wrote the program. I tried to update it in the Android market, but for some reason it didn't actually do anything and I haven't had a chance to try and figure out why. American I have no idea about, I'll look into it. Thanks for letting me know.stephinmd wrote:I also get the connection error for Americanzurcaled11 wrote:Downloaded on my Nexus One, works great.

It's fixed in the desktop version if you have 2.1, just not the Android version.tmon wrote:Georgetown actually works fine for me. I'm using the mac version.
Oh, gotcha. Thanksshatra wrote:It's fixed in the desktop version if you have 2.1, just not the Android version.tmon wrote:Georgetown actually works fine for me. I'm using the mac version.
George Mason made some changes to the app that I didn't know were possible, so the program isn't finding the standard fields it looks for. I'll fix it whenever I get the chance to update.pret wrote:American works fine for me. They are very slow in updating statuses though.
George Mason is strange. When I click on the button to the right of the arrow, it shows up Mason's status checker fine in its own page. But nothing happens when I click on the arrow itself. This causes problems when it automatically downloads all my applications because it gets stuck trying to load George Mason until I cancel it.
I used the mechanize module in Python, I'll send you that section of the code when I get the chance. The Android version uses XMLHttpRequest in JavaScript.laxbrah420 wrote:Any shot I can see the source code?? I really just want to understand how this authentication stuff works, and seeing how you scrape w/ beautifulsoup (I can see it in the binary) would be awesome.
Shatra, I thought the reason it didn't do anything was because you forgot to bump the version number? Maybe I'm confusing it with another app.shatra wrote:I tried to update it in the Android market, but for some reason it didn't actually do anything and I haven't had a chance to try and figure out why.
Right, so I tested it with the new version number with my test copy, and it supposedly thinks it updated but it didn't actually update the database (which was the only thing I had changed). To get around it, I renamed the database, but then had it delete the old one, but occasionally that causes problems. I'd like it to just overwrite the old database rather than have to create a new one and delete the old one every time, but maybe there isn't another way to do it.mijenks wrote:Shatra, I thought the reason it didn't do anything was because you forgot to bump the version number? works fine for me, though it indicates that I have been in committee for a 5 weeks.fashiongirl wrote:Has anyone else tried using the app for Santa Clara? I tried putting my log-in details and it says Application access error. My log-in and pw are correct since I can access it directly through the website on my computer. Help!?
