Dear Sweet University of Florida:

It's been 4 months, 14 days, 2 hours, and 18 minutes since my application went "no decision reached". I don't know how much more waiting I can stand. My loyalty to you is beginning to wane, and I find myself seriously contemplating leaving you for another school. In the words of Keith Sweat, "you've got me twisted"! Each day is another opportunity for you to show your verdict of affection, yet, for some reason unbeknownst to me, you choose to keep me in suspense. Why do you tantalize so - sending me emails and brochures showing smiling youth basking in your halls? What have I done to deserve such torture? Have I offended you somehow? Is this some form of passive aggressive retribution for my earlier (and harmless) pranks? Tell me, please! I need to know.

Ugh. I write, call, email! All to no avail. I thought we were through playing these cat-and-mouse games. I want you to want me... is that so wrong? Look what you've made me become! You've beaten me down to nothing more than a whimpering, pathetic mess. I yield.

Yours in anguish and complete desperation,

haoledugan

haole - some people had their status change to "in transit" today... would you mind PMing me your stats.. I want to try and figure out where we stand (I've also been "no decision" for a very long time)

EDIT: Nevermind, saw your profile. I'm also interested in seeing if alicrimson's status changed today.

Do you know the stats of those people whom had their status change today? Approximates.

I have no idea what to expect. 161, 3.74 I applied LATE February, 3/14-Initial Review, 3/15-File Reviewed No Decision, 3/17- Decision letter in transit. I doubt I will end up going even if I get in, but thought I would share the news.

I initially applied because I was unsure of leaving the wonderful Florida weather and atmosphere for North Carolina. Oddly enough, I will now probably be leaving the wonderful Florida weather for Ohio.

So there are people with an LSAT over 160 who are getting the letter today (3/17)

This could mean that they're not all rejections...

I applied so late that I'm thinking it's at best a waitlist for me. It seems that other applicants with comparable numbers have been at "no decision" for a while. The fact that I received such a quick turn around without "safety" numbers seems a little odd. I'm in Orlando so it should take too-too long.

So my guess would be that lime is getting in....

That further inclines me to believe that not all of the letters will be rejections/waits...

Could easily be a mix though with me being the only rejection lol

I'd bet 20 bucks this is an acceptance.

Could very well be a mixed batch, IIRC that has happened before. Best of luck to everyone.

I applied late February as well but I've been "processing" for over three weeks now. I just want some movement. Anything. Please.

On a less whiny note, anyone know how seriously a late app disadvantages you at UF? I know rule of thumb is to get it in asap, but just curious.

Semi similar timeline, applied late February, Initial Reviewed March 2 and Then No Decision from March 4 until Letter in Transit today, woke up feeling like today would be the day (Irish luck). Hopefully the news will be good, I'll be accepting immediately if so, spent all undergrad at UF and love it. 160 3.95, hoping the quick turnaround is a good sign. In Gainesville, should know very soon.

Some of the numbers from this week's batch look like auto admits. I don't like my chances if they're getting waitlisted :(

We'll know soon enough, I highly doubt they pick specific days each year for specific decision types. As shown in earlier posts, they deviated from patterns from previous years. Just my 2 cents though, maybe some wishful thinking.

Oh and for expanded hope, last year the primary pool application deadline was January 15th, so this week was a full two months after the deadline, whereas now the deadline just happened, so I would find wait lists appearing this early unlikely.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
