I think you have a good shot, my numbers are lower and i got in with $$, granted i applied super early tho. Wake loves to see interest, call and talk with someone in the admissions and convey you interest so they can note your file.
Good Luck :D

I am scheduling a meeting with the Dean for hopefully late on this week (I am at wake undergrad so it isn't to difficult for me to make it over there for a meeting). If I find anything out about what the prospects are for getting off the waitlist, I'll be sure to let you know.

For what it is worth, my prelaw adviser spoke with the admissions office for me after I was wait listed and they said nobody would be getting off of the waitlist until Mid to late april. It looks like if I get in I will have to eat the deposit at Campbell, but I guess there are worse things in the world.

Thanks, please let me know if you find anything else out. I'm looking at either Richmond or South Carolina but I really want to go to Wake. Good luck

I wish I had more encouraging news, but frankly I don't. There is no way that we will know anything until april 15th, but likely later than april 15th as they give a small grace period to wait for checks to come in the mail (plus there is a weekend after the first deposit deadline). After the first deadline, they will look at the number of deposits they have and then go to the committee to make another round of decisions (if necessary). At this point they will purge the wait list of folks who clearly won't have a shot so as to not string them along any longer than necessary. Then those of us who are still on the WL will have to wait until the second tuition deposit is due to see if any more seats open up (around june 15th).

Basically the vibe I got was this is not in our hands, it is not in admissions hands, it is in the hands of those who have been accepted, no big surprise there.

Best of luck to anyone else on the wait list, looks like we will be in for a long wait.

I have a 163 & 3.4 and was wait listed as well. I think we honestly just applied too late in the cycle (my file wasn't complete until 2/9). I'm wondering the same thing...

Not so sure about that. I applied November with a 162 and 3.3 and got waitlisted. Your numbers are a little higher, but I don't think the later application date had a huge impact, for what it's worth.

Yeah, I applied last week of November and was waitlisted with 3.4/164.

Hmm sorry then my bad ha. For some reason, I remember hearing/reading that people with worse numbers than ourselves got in (many even with $) by applying earlier (not just the post from the person right under OP). Well best of luck to all of us to getting off the wait list!

Was there anything really terrible on your app as far as C&F or anything like that goes? I had a 3.48/164 and applied around Christmas and got in with $$$. I can't understand how I would get in (with a horrible GPA trend and a somewhat checkered legal/disciplinary record to boot) and Wake would WL you.
Nope and I got into plenty of schools so I don't think there were big mistakes on my application either. Who knows how they make their decisions?

I have a 3.47/163 and got in, will be withdrawing though most likely. I applied late as well but had solid EC's.

They must have liked my application because my numbers aren't too competitive and I was waitlisted. 157/3.56. Praying I can get off it but it's just quite unlikely with such good numbers ahead of me.

I'm on the WL as of 3/28, applied 3/15. With a 160/3.3 and applying on the very last day possible, I figured myself an auto-ding but I had a fee waiver so I sent it out anyway.

No. Mine has also not changed from "Application Complete," so I suppose I could be getting erroneous emails as well?

If they need anyone at this point we could start to see movement late this week I think. Personally I feel like I'll have to wait till after the second seat deposit is due for news...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
