New waitlist update:
Following our second deposit deadline, we made about ten waitlist offers on a rolling basis, the latest of which were made in mid-July. We have been simultaneously continuing to release people in order to keep the size realistic. We do not at this time anticipate making additional offers, but recognizing the potential unpredictability of people’s plans, we will retain on the waitlist a small core of people with a strong interest in attending and a high tolerance for the necessary uncertainty. (If at any point you feel like you’ve had enough, please just let us know.) As always, we very much appreciate your patience and understanding during this stressful process.
Well, it's not like I didn't see it coming. Still disappointing, though.

You might have won this cycle.... but I'll be back in 90 days, Michigan.

I haven't withdrawn yet, but only because there's no downside to remaining on the waitlist. However, I've pretty much given up hope accepted reality at this point. The whole time I was on the waitlist I made decisions based on the assumption that I wasn't going to get the call, but I left myself just enough wiggle room that I could have accepted an offer.

Michigan was my dream school, and it's been hard for me to let that go. I'd most definitely still listen to an offer should one be extended, but I'm fairly confident that it's just not going to happen.

Wow, awesome! How did you swing that; did you ask them for a deferral?

Yeah, I asked last week after I secured an internship at the State's Attorney's Office for this year.

Same story here. I'm assuming I won't get an offer, but I haven't withdrawn yet.

I'm not going to go at this point, but technically they still haven't told me "no" which I think is pretty ridiculous at this point.

LOL. I have not been told "no" either yet. Orientation starts tomorrow, i think whoever is left is insurance in case someone just does not show up for orientation or when classes start in September. Too bad everyone will probably be two weeks in at other schools by then.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
