Withdrew today. Im not coming off and if I did I would have to pay full sticker. I'll just take the money at IUB and make the best of it.

If I REALLY want to go to GULC later I'll transfer. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

yep got a special waitlisted email a couple months ago - i'm talking about the update email sent today - did urs mention the word "special" in it? i know im being neurotic lol but want to make sure im not missing something!

Committee on Admissions had identified you as one of our stronger
applicants and placed you within a special group on our preferred
waitlist.

I got the updated WL email today. I'm PWL and (I don't think) it referenced that.

Looking at mine right now (PWL as well). It makes no mention to being preferred.

Mine made no reference to being "preferred" or "special" it just had a specific contact from the admissions committee and asked that i please clarify the extent of my interest. for those of you who are just in the regular preferred boat (not special)- did you get roughly the same thing?

For those of you on regular waitlist - are you also getting the exact same email (from a specific contact) or is it just for those on SPWL/PWL. i.e. is there a difference between what WL and PWL are getting from the adcomm?

I was just curious so I checked with a friend who is on the PWL. They are the same.

From what I can gather, those on the SPWL got a slightly different email. Those of us on the PWL and regular WL got the same email.

i still haven't got a letter at all. otherwise i don't think it matters

I don't know, I was just answering the question, information is power and all that. I don't think it matters either...

SPWL people who got off... what did your updated status say? Did it say decision reached or application complete. My application completed date just got updated to 4/1 and I'm wondering if anyone else sees the same thing?

Mine hasn't updated. As far as I can tell, the people that have been taken off the SPWL so far are YP candidates that wrote LOCIs. The rest of us will have to wait till May 2nd and after for GULC to figure out how many spots they have open.

Mine updated too! Did you recently send a LOCI? Did you respond to the email last week?

I'm trying not to get my hopes up...

Hey all. I couldn't help but stop by...

I was one of the (if not the) last people accepted off of the WL last year. May 10th. (I was placed on the SPWL in early February) (And I got a decent scholarship!)

So hang in there!

I am happy to answer any questions people might have about how I managed staying on the waitlist, considering my other options, etc. during this time. I had lots of big money offers from other schools (some comparable, some lower ranked) and it was tough to decide what to do (since I didn't know until very late in the game if GULC would be an option)...

I found an awesome 1L on these threads last year who helped answer a lot of the questions I have...since I knew if I was ever offered a spot I wouldn't have much time to think about it.

In the end, I gave up bigger money to go to school here...and I haven't regretted it for a second. I love it to here. I simply cannot imagine going to law school anywhere else.
