I received the "will update every two weeks" email. Today is two weeks after the date of that email, and I haven't gotten any update yet. Really hoping for some good news.

given how consistent the updates have been thus far, I must say I'm surprised. Maybe they're deciding how many to let in?

I don't wanna be Buzz Killington, but they could be waiting till closing time to send out decision emails so they don't have to deal with any reaction calls. Don't know if that'd be good, but my guess is that it'd be bad.Perch wrote:given how consistent the updates have been thus far, I must say I'm surprised. Maybe they're deciding how many to let in?

Or they could just not update us at all...
I don't know if no update is a good or bad thing, or if they just forgot.

I find it odd that they would give such a specific date and then just not do anything, it seems like they have been accurate before.

OR, they may have recategorized the list again and we might not be part of the new, super select group.planQ wrote:I find it odd that they would give such a specific date and then just not do anything, it seems like they have been accurate before.

Re: 2011 GULC Waitlist
Did everyone receive the same letter? Have they decided we're all SOL so there's no use in sending slightly differently worded letters anymore?
Dear jcdc,
As we move into late June, I wanted to send you a quick e-mail to let
you that, unfortunately, we are not able to extend offers at this
time. Although it's possible that spaces may open up sooner, our
next upcoming deadline is July 25 when the tuition payment is due for
the current entering class. However, we do plan on reviewing our
enrollment numbers in early July and will provide you with another
update on July 13.
While we hope that you are able to continue to be patient with our
wait list process, we also understand that this delay may mean that
you need to go forward with your enrollment plans elsewhere. If
there are any changes in your law school enrollment plans or summer
contact information, I'd appreciate your letting us know.
Thank you for your continuing interest in Georgetown.
Warm regards,
Sophia Sim

perhaps a few will get offers this afternoon, from andy. would fit the trend to send a second acceptance wave from a different contact.late_app wrote:j12bash wrote:check your emails.

It sounds like there will be no offers...I would be surprised by any kind of a wave after Sophia's email...IMO.Perch wrote:perhaps a few will get offers this afternoon, from andy. would fit the trend to send a second acceptance wave from a different contact.late_app wrote:j12bash wrote:check your emails.

Re: 2011 GULC Waitlist
Excerpts from my GULC waitlist odyssey:
“The Committee on Admissions has reviewed your application and has placed your name in a special group within our Preferred Waiting List.” 2/28
“our Committee on Admissions had identified you as one of our stronger applicants and placed you within a special group on our preferred waitlist.” 3/29
“the Committee expects that we may have a small handful of spaces in our full-time program. We have identified your application as part of a small group that the Committee will be reviewing.” 4/28
“but if a few spaces do open up (and, no promises, but we think it's likely that they will), as we have told you, we would like to continue consider you as part of a small group to whom we will turn…Thank you again for your patience, and I hope my next e-mail to you will begin the word ‘Congratulations.’” 5/10
“I'm still hopeful that good news will arrive soon… I do think it is more likely than not that
there will be at least a few openings but I'm just not sure right now.” 5/25
“You continue to be part of a very small group to whom we will go first should any spaces become available.” 6/6
