I think they heard back from the Thursday group and decided to notify an additional group at the 11th hour when they decided they would dig deeper into the applicant pool. I'm agreeing with this sentiment, but that leaves the question foe whether the Thursday is ahead of, equal to, or behind the Monday group...only time will tell I suppose.
Thursday is ahead of Friday...Friday, tomorrow is Saturday, and Monday comes afterwards.

I don't think think you can read too much into this whole thing: they just want to to know if you've made up your mind to go somewhere else before they waste time re-reading your file. After their WL letter was so strongly worded (at least to non-priority folks), they might be concerned that you had followed their advice.

it is just odd that some received an email saying there are no spots left, that some offers were already made (past tense), but then to have no reported acceptances here or on LSN. I still think a few will get in, when- who knows?

Being extremely hungover from Cinco de Mayo is actually taking my mind off waiting. It's kind of nice. Tequila does wonderful things.

I think someone up here will get in. When I look at the timing of things, it makes me think they're mailing off decisions today. They send decisions via snail mail and said we'd know by the 16th (a Monday). Unfortunatly, it sounds like we'll have to wait until June for another shot at it if we're not selected.

so has there been no movement at all this week? I got the Monday small group email as well. Are we expecting something to happen today? I think I was until I found this group, haha.

Jeez, I hope so. Got a call from a blocked number an hour ago and freaked out. Turned out to be Notre Dame.
