They sent mine to my parents' house (permanent address). Did you check on that?
That is the address I am at for the summer...I emailed them asking and they said it was sent to this address but nothing yet. Anything substantial in there?
Don't know yet, I'm meeting up with my parents today and they're giving it to me at that time. My dad said something about it having apartment info and cost of attendance figures (looks like there are no 1BR places under 1600/month, yikes!). Otherwise I'm not sure. I'll update you this evening.

There are some studios that are under $1600 a month. Try Columbia Heights area. You are a bit further from the law school, however. For me it was worth it to be paying slightly over the $1600/month to have utilities included + close to the law school.

Either that or find a roommate...

I should be able to manage a higher rent, it's just annoying. lol

Looked at a few places today, but still trying to decide how to proceed with it. I think close proximity to the law school is at the top of my list, so I'm going to try and keep it within 6 blocks if I can.

Does anyone think GW's COA estimation of $74,400/yr seem a little high? I mean, do people think it would be easy to spend less? I believe GULC's COA is lilke 68k or something

After looking (and finding an apartment) I think the reason that number is so high is housing in the Foggy Bottom area. The dupont circle/foggy bottom/georgetown (the neighborhood, not the law school, the law school is somewhere else entirely) area is one of the priciest neighborhoods in town. Idk how they calculate COL, but I imagine it involves the average price of housing within a certain radius from the school, in which case it makes perfect sense that GW would have higher COL than GULC.

I'm living a ~20 minute commute from the law school (a few stops up the red line) and paying 1900/month, but the place is pretty nice.

Has anyone heard anything today?

On a different note, while browsing the UVa wait list board, it looks like Dean Anne Richard (Admissions) is no longer with GW (now with UVa). I wonder if the personnel change will affect GW's admission's strategy.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect anything until after this Friday for you guys. Hopefully they don't keep you waiting an extra week like they did before this last round of admits.

I'd definitely say to go through Ms. Shelby-Wilson now to reiterate your interest. She was super helpful to me and if you guys can/are local, I'd recommend meeting with her.

They haven't made any offers in the past until the Friday after the deposit deadline for the last admit group. I'd give it till then and hopefully they send you an update letting you know what the deal is before then.

The deposit was this past Friday...I know that they are going through who they got deposits from today (I called wondering if mine was received on time) so I would expect that there will be an update email this Friday and then movement next week.
