It won't be, because you'll be asked to fill out supplemental information after you are accepted.Puttanesca wrote:Well for me, I received my snail mail decision on 2/10 and my admissions packet on 2/12 (but I live in LA). The admissions packet did not include scholly information, but that might have just been b/c USC did not make its first scholarship awards until late March. I'm not sure if scholarship notification will be different now (i.e. included with the admissions packet).V811 wrote:Checking in!
How long after the snail mail decision did you all receive the admissions packet? Does the admissions packet include scholly/financial aid award or is that separate?

What do y'all currently living in LA like to get up to on Thursday nights? I might be beat when I get in but just in case I want to have some options of places to go. :-) I'm staying downtown.

167, 3.64, I don't expect I'll get a ton of money, but I'm hoping for a trickle.
I'll be 100% debt-free as of next week. That ain't gonna last long, is it?

if you're downtown, try Dublins or Seven Grand. Dublins has $3 beers at all times, all beers. It's right by the metro. Seven Grand is a whiskey bar that's absolutely amazing.innernetp wrote:What do y'all currently living in LA like to get up to on Thursday nights? Do any of you know if USC offers travel reimbursement for ASD next Friday? I don't see anything about it on the site but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything... thanks!

Has anyone in the 4/1 group received access to the admitted students site yet?

Do you both live in the area? I'm coming to the ASD from NYC and don't really know where to stay. The Radisson on campus if all booked, so any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

If I don't get offered any money, am I going to know that or am I just going to have to assume after enough time passes that I didn't get any?

Maybe you could stay downtown? It's about a ten minute drive from USC, and there are plenty of hotels downtown.hwops23 wrote:Puttanesca wrote:Cool. Congrats, fellow Trojan! There are a couple of motel types near USC, the closest one being the Vagabond Inn (on Figueroa St.), but I really don't know anything about the condition of the place or how safe it is.

thanks! congrats to you too! i can't wait for friday.
i don't know if the vagabond is all booked, but if not, that's really close and cheap. not the nicest hotel ever, but it's clean, close, and the people who own it are nice. otherwise, i would say downtown as well. there's a lot of places downtown, and you can find good deals through travel websites. plus, it's a really short and easy bus or cab ride to usc!hwops23 wrote:Puttanesca wrote:Cool. If anyone is looking to live downtown, this might be of interest to you:

There is a free bus tour every Saturday of the housing options available downtown, and I am going to check it out one of these weeks.

I got my letter. $30000 over three years.
I haven't pulled the trigger, but I think I'll be attending USC this fall.
