Well for me, I received my snail mail decision on 2/10 and my admissions packet on 2/12 (but I live in LA). The admissions packet did not include scholly information, but that might have just been b/c USC did not make its first scholarship awards until late March. I'm not sure if scholarship notification will be different now (i.e. included with the admissions packet).

It won't be, because you'll be asked to fill out supplemental information after you are accepted.

What do y'all currently living in LA like to get up to on Thursday nights? I might be beat when I get in but just in case I want to have some options of places to go. :-) I'm staying downtown.

if you're downtown, try Dublins or Seven Grand. Dublins has $3 beers at all times, all beers. It's right by the metro. Seven Grand is a whiskey bar that's absolutely amazing.

Congrats to the latest admits. Anyways, just got my scholarship letter... and I got nothing (got accepted 3/28, scholarship form submitted 3/30, btw).

Anyways, trying to decide between Northwestern & USC for the Bay Area, both at sticker unfortunately:

i'm in! i live about ten minutes away from usc in the silverlake area, and went to usc for undergrad. i'm also going on 4/15 for the admitted student day!

Maybe you could stay downtown? It's about a ten minute drive from USC, and there are plenty of hotels downtown.

There are a couple of motel types near USC, the closest one being the Vagabond Inn (on Figueroa St.), but I really don't know anything about the condition of the place or how safe it is.

i don't know if the vagabond is all booked, but if not, that's really close and cheap. not the nicest hotel ever, but it's clean, close, and the people who own it are nice. otherwise, i would say downtown as well. there's a lot of places downtown, and you can find good deals through travel websites. plus, it's a really short and easy bus or cab ride to usc!

I haven't pulled the trigger, but I think I'll be attending USC this fall.
