Does anyone know about tuition benefits for USC employees? I've heard that whatever tuition benefit they give you gets added on as wages on your W-2. My husband is trying to figure out if it would be financially beneficial to try to get a job at their hospital (for possibly lower pay than elsewhere) or if working elsewhere but taking out more loans is a better route in the long term. Thoughts?

edit: I'm afraid to ask financial aid/admissions before they give out awards, which is why I'm asking here

haha yea! It was also strangely worded. It said something about inviting us to the premier "events" though it's only one event. And it basically said something like "in light of your accomplishments we'd like to invite you to diversity day!" Seems like an odd way of putting it. Yay i managed to be different!

Just spoke with the financial aid office. Hard copies of financial aid awards were mailed this morning

they said the website won't update for some time

I can't even get my username to work to login to check the financial aid... I finally gave up and just assumed I'd hear by snail post at some point.

I'll be waiting in Carolina. Awhh I want to know now. Unless I didn't get a scholarship. Then I want to live in the dream for a little while longer... We probably won't get them until Monday at the earliest.

I tried to check mine in their system, but it still says my award hasn't been determined. Maybe it is because I was accepted more recently.

So even if they have determined the award and mailed a letter, it still won't show up?

hooray! i live 20 minutes from USC, and have numbers that (i think) merit some sort of award, so hopefully i'll get it tomorrow and can let everyone know!!

I went to the regional SF USC reception tonight (very fun btw), and they said the same. Scholarship letters mailed out today!!!

I live near LA and I get my mail at 10AM everyday, except when he's late. But he has gotten to know me over the past few months since I'm often out there to greet him. He gets the narrow eye stare when he's late
