I'm pretty sure they don't happen at all. I'm not sure why they have a reserve.

For those of you who haven't heard yet, where are you located? I'm on the West Coast. Maybe ding letters haven't made it out so far yet? :(

My permanent address is listed in NYC, so there's no reason I shouldn't have received notice from them yet, but nothing. Also emailed a couple days ago asking if they'd sent something out in case it got lost or whatever and they said no. Biggest tease of my life.

Sorry to hear that, antonin.

Doesn't bode well for the rest of us still waiting. Ah well.

Sorry, friend. Best of luck to you and everyone else on here. It's been a long, long, long cycle, and these waitlists take their psychological toll, I know. Take care of yourselves, guys.

FYI, i called admissions today and they said that they would release any kind of decisions until August 15 (1st day of orientation) and that they cannot ascertain yet if they would offer spots.

Seems kind of odd that a lot of people haven't heard back this month.

Thanks for asking. It really seems like deposits were strong at CLS this year...

It doesn't make sense... why haven't they put us on 3rd reserve if they are not planning to give us a decision yet. Gah!

I'm also confused. Are we (those of us who haven't heard anything since 2nd reserve) on the border between 3rd reserve and reject? Don't they have hundreds of 3rd reserve applicants anyway? What's the holdup?

I'm going to be outrageously optimistic and assume that there is like 1 spot that they think might open before class starts, and they're holding a few people whose demographics (scores, race, sex, edu background, etc.) might be necessary in case a last minute drop-out occurs. (Though why they wouldn't hold these people in the actual reserve, I can't fathom.)

OR... there were a ton of apps in the 2nd reserve, and they just haven't gotten to us yet. <--This is the most likely answer.

Surprising third reserve email ten minutes ago. Thought I was done for by this point (again).

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
