There has been a lot more movement on the NYU WL this year in comparison to last year. I really hope that reflects a drop in applicant #s that has necessitated a greater use of the WL... meaning, maybe we have hope for CLS???

Anyone checking in with CLS via email on a semi-regular basis just to reiterate interest? I already sent a LOCI, as well as an email about a scholarship I received, but I was curious what everyone else is doing.

Given that they said they were postponing a decision on my application until the end of May, and it is officially June, does that mean today is D-Day?

Based on the text, it seems unlikely. They said they'll need to postpone MAKING a decision until the end of may when they'll start reviewing apps. It seems that our apps just started to be reviewed, and the process of making a decision started yesterday at the latest, but I don't know if we'll hear back today. Still, gluck everyone.

I am about to go traveling and won't have access to phone or snail mail, and will have very limited email access, so I decided to give them a call and ask how they were going to be notifying. She said they will be sending things via snail mail and email, so it sounds like rejections will be snail and second reserve will be email at least, and I am not sure how acceptances will be notified. She also said they just began the review process and they won't be notifying until mid to late June, so all those holding your breath (like I was), you might want to stop doing so. Looks like you were right FlexityFlex, sadly.

yes, USPS. So basically if everyone else gets an email and you haven't gotten anything, you likely are waiting on something coming snail mail. And that something is likely a no. But good news is, we can keep hoping in vain for almost an entire month more!

What I'd like to know is if there are even spots remaining in the class, or if we're all just waiting for a WL/reject decision.

Since the deposit deadline was May 1st and they have started re-reviewing us, or in some cases re-re-reviewing us, then hopefully it means there ARE some spots. Otherwise, if all spots were filled, I don't see why the wait list would even exist or at least why we would not have been told we're out already. Basically, chin up everyone :)

Yes - just a standard e-mail saying that my file would be updated with the letter (I sent mine as an attachment).

Did you send your letter in the mail or via e-mail attachment?
