I agree, it's pretty surprising. I also wonder how the index is actually used by adcomms...incompetentia wrote:Kind of odd how little GPA actually figures into the CLS index. That spreadsheet has utter disregard for GPA ordering
which is why I didn't apply to Stanford eh

I think the index is only helpful to sort applicants. There were some 4.1XX indexes (sub-169 LSATs) that were accepted in January.

CONGRATS ! That is terrific. I bet your parents are real proud of you. Have fun in Morningside Heights.IndyHCKM wrote:Well I got a funny story for you all. I received the famed vomit colored envelope today in the mail, but get this: it was postmarked the 3rd of February!
It took that letter 11 days to get from New York to Utah where I'm going to school!
For the record, as compared to the 2013 entering class, my LSAT is at their median and my GPA is above their 75th percentile. I received a transcript request on the 11th of January.

got my 'Complete' email on 1/4 so I'm not sure if I'm eligible to join the club here. the school is definitely a reach for me, but their Japan connects are awesome and I made as strong a play as I could for the NT applicant angle. this silence is unbearable (though I feel lame whining when people have been waiting since October )

Yeah, I'm not counting grade requests since that hasn't necessarily led to any imminent follow-up action.alphamoose wrote:Do I still count as forgotten even though I got a grade request a week or so back? ....I want to be elite I submitted early November

Yes, congrats again to NC! And I hope our numbers dwindle to zero very soon, in good ways...texaskk wrote:Also, we just lost Non-Chalant. Our numbers are dwindling!

Yeah a lot of the forgotten have actually been seeing good results. I'm crossing my fingers that the rest of us in this thread see VCEs within the next week!mel2010 wrote:Yes, congrats again to NC! We had some holds/VCEs today, but I'm not sure if anyone from the spreadsheet was included; I think it's still a somewhat-accurate subset of the microcosm which is TLS.bdubs wrote:Ok, so how many of us are left?

There were several of us held.mel2010 wrote:We had some holds/VCEs today, but I'm not sure if anyone from the spreadsheet was included; I think it's still a somewhat-accurate subset of the microcosm which is TLS.bdubs wrote:Ok, so how many of us are left?

Congrats Non-Chalant!!!
And sorry to all the holds Y'all are in pretty esteemed company though so don't write yourselves off yet.
As for me, I'm still here forgotten.

Complete November, still nothing. Have dings gone out yet? It's kind of what I'm expecting.

Re: The Forgotten- Columbia 2011
Still forgotten! I think the lack of any real pattern in the most recent decisions sent (rejection letters/acceptance emails/hold emails all at random times) is actually relieving my anxiety somewhat. It seems better to have no clue what could be coming than to expect a certain type of decision to come on a certain day (and then be constantly disappointed when the expected fails to materialize)...
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
