Can you PM me the information? :D

Same here! Please, and thanks :D

I think I've PM'd all of y'all up to (and including) calvmpv--let me know if any of you didn't get it for some reason.

I hope I'm not undermining the reason for the PM here, but I want to note that it concerns the authority of the information which JD presented not additional details of the hold scenario.

Edit: in other words, just trust that the hold is different (yes, just different... that's it) and give dubya a break.

Thank you! Could this change in how holds are used (and the possibe increase in overall holds) be more fuel for speculation regarding the decrease in applications this year? Or unrelated?

So apparently the number of PMs I've sent recently has triggered a spam filter, which is preventing me from PMing the information anymore (or responding to PMs someone has sent me). I've emailed the admins, so hopefully I'll be able to resume PMing to anyone who wants the info soon. Sorry!

Hahahahahahaha.

I haven't had access to my computer all day and I returned to find... a shit show. Made my day.

I apologize to everyone who thought that I found some sort of magic lamp or something. Basically the hold is different this year. That's all I know. Literally that's what I was told. Those who were PMed just found out how I know, which really doesn't matter anyhow.

Seriously though guys- hilarious.

I really enjoyed this--even though the mods think I'm a spammer now :D . Hope you don't mind that I forwarded your message along.

Would if I could--I've triggered some sort of automatic spam filter by sending too many PMs. Trying to get it lifted...

Why dont you just say what you know on the thread. Unless you broke into the admissions office and read a secret memo, I think it will be OK. And if that is indeed the case, and all you know are the words "hold... different" i would be pretty dissapointed.

Refer to JD2014's post. It's pretty much all the relevant information you need, from a (seemingly) trustworthy source.

Basically--the holds are different this year. The only other real info in the PM concerned JD2014's source.

Can't say because it would reveal my secret identity as Batman to any potentially lurking admissions officers and I am a paranoid schizophrenic.

I did not break into the admissions office. They left it unlocked and I wandered in while no one was looking. Completely legal.

So do we know anything about how or why the holds are different?

Not yet, no. We'll probably find out when people start reporting decisions in comparison to last year's data.

Just sent in my LOCI. For anyone else who did one, did you just send it to the admissions@law.columbia.edu address? Did you get any sort of confirmation?
