St. Mary's c/o 2015
Didn't see this either, probably because it's not a top law school lol.
If anyone else applied, how did you receive your decision?

Received 1/19
Complete 1/28
The hard copy was all it needed to go to complete, felt like it took foreverrrr.
Now it says
"A decision has been made by the Admissions Committee and notification has been sent by surface mail."
Wasn't sure if they made phone calls or anything, that's why I posted.

Got my decision a few weeks ago via snail mail... $10,000 for first year, $10,000 each additional year with stips.... Dates on Lsn profile...

Very happy to see this thread.
I'm in at St. Mary's, too!
Got the decision via snail mail. Had this message posted on the status checker: "A decision has been made by the Admissions Committee and notification has been sent by surface mail," and then got the letter a couple days after.

I applied to 18 other schools, this is the only one that made me mail in a certification form signed and the only one that's using the hard copy of the report.sceva31st wrote:Still waiting for them to receive the hard copy of my file from LSAC
Exactly how behind the times is this school?

Yeah, I sent my app. in November, I went complete like December 1 and had a DR December 2. In with 10k a year scholly, but years 2 & 3 I have to be in top 10% of the class. Ouch.

Seems like they only offer 8k or 10k, is everyone getting the same 10% stipulations?

8k for first year, and 8k for 2nd and 3rd years if I stay in top 10% but may still be able to renew partial scholarship from first year if I stay in top 25%MCRemix wrote:Seems like they only offer 8k or 10k, is everyone getting the same 10% stipulations?

Wow, penny pinching it aren't they? All I've seen on LSN is 8k or 10k per year and they're requiring top 10%?anni wrote:

I'm not saying that's unattainable, but it's harsher than most stipulations isnt it?

Re: St. Mary's 2011
I went complete on the 20th of January and haven't heard anything back from them. All I sent in was the certification letter with my credit card info on it, was I also supposed to send in a hard copy of my lsac report or am i allright since my file is already complete?

From what I can tell they request the hard copy of the report and the problem is that they have to wait for it to arrive in the mail. You should be fine, after all, you CAN'T send in your LoRs, etc in hard copy form, you dont have access to them. But if it will help your anxiety, check your LSAC account for report status and it should tell you where you stand.merc280 wrote:I went complete on the 20th of January and haven't heard anything back from them. On a similar note, all of this process sort of worries me a tad, no digital signing your cert letter, no digital LSAC report. I'm sure they have their reasons, but they're the minority as far as law schools go.

WOW! not everyone can be top 10%
looks like some people may be losing their scholorships... that should weigh heavily in making the decision to go or not.
I... am... still... waiting... I have a status checker now... but I applied in December and have yet to hear yes, no or maybe.

Agreed, they're pretty harsh on stips, no idea if they'll negotiate those at all. I'm hoping for some serious scholarships elsewhere, but for family reasons I'm probably going to be attending StMU, so it bothers me that they're so stingy.dallaslawgurl wrote:WOW! not everyone can be top 10%

I'm kinda out of the loop on this, because I'm just applying to St. Mary's today. Where is the certification form you have to sign and mail in? I'm not seeing it on the supplemental part of the LSAC application.

If memory serves me, go through as if you're complete and going to apply through LSAC and one of the last things before it will submit will let you print out a PDF cert form. Then it makes you click a button saying you understand you have to mail it in and will finalize your app.sbmr12 wrote:I'm kinda out of the loop on this, because I'm just applying to St. Mary's today.
