Also I invaded the hold thread because this thread was dwindling. The holds have strength in numbers. We have strength through our... confusion.

this thread is really dying. i guess i shouldnt be a lurker anymore and try to revive it. us forgotten need a place to go and this thread should be it.

Pretty sure we're essentially held, and they just forgot to notify us or something. I'm sending an LOCI.

I am so sure that the best case scenario for me is a hold that I don't want to prematurely LOCI.

I'm thinking the held/forgotten is a meaningless distinction at this point - people have been receiving JR1 invites out of both pools. Hell, people have had a JR1, been held, then gotten a JR2 call. Personally looking at it as an excuse to get some more writing in front of them / get my application a second look. But yeah, I don't really know at this point - I don't actually have any "updates," as I've just been continuing to work. It's a chance to give my career objectives more clearly though I guess.

have there been forgotten who got a JR1 without first being held? i didnt count any, but i havent been following uber-closely.

Nope. Still forgotten. Every day I open my email and hope it will be there. It never is.

I'm UR 12/10.

I decided to do a pre-emptive LOCI and send another LOR because, well, I am obviously dying to go to HLS.

I figured if it could even so much as move me from the reject to the hold pile, it would be 100% worth it. After more than three months, no sign of a JR1, and no hold, I'm pretty sure I'm headed right to rejection/waitlist hell either way, though.

It was nice to see the new LOR pop up on my status checker. They at least were forced to open my file.

Also:

I might sue them for health damages. I'm going insane about it.

I caved and called the admissions office today. Asked if they could just confirm that my file is still being actively reviewed and hasn't been lost, lol. Nice lady took my info and looked up my app and said it's still being considered. She didn't act like it was weird that I still hadn't heard anything so I'm guessing there are still a few early applicant that are forgotten.

We'll see if this prompts a hold email later in the day. lol.

Ahahaha...Well Starry, you might just have made them forget about my e-mail asking about total number of admitted students so far and become the new thing to talk about!!! Thanks !!!

Umm I went UR 11/3 and I think I got the complete email like 11/6 or 11/8.
