Had y'all not been notified via status checker or email that you were in before you got the envelope?

No. The status checker only indicates that a decision has been reached. But other than that you hear via snail mail

I'm now the only applicant that applied in 2010 listed on LSN that has yet to receive a decision..

If LSN is at all representative of the applicant pool, I don't think that bodes well for me.

Am I reading too much into this?

Dude, from your numbers you look to be right in the middle of the sweet spot of acceptances on LSN. I don't think you have much to worry about.

What are the chances of actually getting a job after going to Gonzaga?

slim to non existent is the honest truth I suppose. Seattle is one of the toughest legal markets in the nation and there are already two law schools in the city. If you want to work in Eastern Washington or Idaho, Gonzaga may be fine, but then again, there are simply not a lot of legal jobs in that area.

I agree with you, which is why it's strange that they are taking so long in reviewing my app. Some people with lower numbers who submitted AFTER I was in review have already received decisions.. plus, I submitted in November. This wait is getting a little ridiculous, no?

The only reason I can think of is that they don't like my app. What else could it be? I've expressed obvious interest in attending, and have even scheduled a campus visit. What's going on?

Impatiently awaiting a decision. Anyone heard anything today?

Decision made today 2/23. Hoping for the best, but still nervous because it took so long.

In $14.5k a year.

Envelope was first word I heard. Where do you find this status checker. I have not heard from a couple schools still and want to know if there has been a decision. Do all schools have some online check in or something?

Not all, but most have a status checker. They should have included it via link in the e-mail notifying you that your app was complete.

If you haven't heard, the curve is going from 2.6-2.9 to 2.7-3.0, while the scholarship cutoff is staying at 2.75. Thus, more people could potentially be keeping their scholarships.

Got a nice fat scholarship, but the job prospects really frighten me.

bloobook wrote:^ That's interesting, and very hopeful. I don't think I'd honestly want to attend Gonzaga without my 13.5k merit scholarship.

eta. Maybe I'm confused about how the curve works, but wouldn't that mean that *fewer* people would keep their scholarships? Explain this to meeee.
Well, in theory at least, more people will be able to finish above 2.75 because instead of being in the middle of the potential curve, 2.75 is now on the low end of the range, so there will be less people below the cutoff.

Waitlisted today via small envelope.

Does anyone know what the chances are of getting a scholarship after coming off the waitlist? I'd assume not good. I'm leaning towards withdrawing if the chances aren't good.

I can go to Idaho for in-state cost; only a great fool would pay sticker at GU over in-state at Idaho.

I'm going to visit Idaho next week, and if I don't like it I've pretty much decided on the wait a year and retake option.

I am pretty sure that ALL 1Ls are given some amount of scholarship (and if it isn't all then its close). How much you would get off of the waitlist though, I would think depend on who ends up not coming. If someone that was given $13.5k doesn't attend, then that leaves a lot more potential money for you in the pool.

FWIW according to LSN one person with a fullride has already withdrawn.

I've decided to remain on the WL and probably put a seat deposit down at Idaho. This whole process has been hell, which really sucks, cause I want(ed) to attend Gonzaga..

We'll see how my visit goes.

Is anyone planning on going to the admitted students day on April 2nd?
