Oh man, Wonder Showzen. That show was too much for me, man. Hilarious, but painfully so.

Do people who get the 105k offer ever get additional need based grants?

Is anyone else thinking about deferring? I sent in a request to defer admission about a week ago and haven't heard anything back yet. Anyone know how long it might take?

I went to the SF one on St. Patrick's day. Found it to be really helpful and informative and had a great talk with the dean. Still don't think I can go bc of $$$ though.

Is mailing a check seriously the only way to pay your seat deposit? I'd love to be able to use my credit card because I just don't have the damn money in my checking account.

Yeah. Checks have become irrelevant with online banking anyway.

We're supposed to get need-based aid info next week right?

Just got mine - thought I'd throw a data point out there for others who were curious:

Got $14k/yr, gross family income is ~75k

it's at the bottom of the award overview, for those who were wondering. where it lists your loans. it's called "Law School Tuition Grant"

Context I guess. I didn't get the feeling that you were trying to make a pun (which would be a little inappropriate), but people do abuse the word because of how it sounds. If we were discussing specific people whom we knew were African American, it would be dubious and probably offensive, but [racist language redacted] is a valid word with no etymological relationship whatsoever to the slur it sounds like.

While this may be true, I see no reason why one shouldn't err on the side of caution on not use it in a public place where there is a decent chance people may take offense (even if it isn't justified).

You clearly wrote it thinking it'd be hilarious because [racist language redacted] sounds and looks like n****r. Funny? not really. Mature? not really (even on TLS, and that's saying something). Show a little more restraint next time.

I got a 24hr ban for saying the "g" word, obviously meaning stupid, not homosexual. In any case, I won't say that I've had lots of homosexual friends, because I haven't, but I've known many, and I'm pretty sure that when they'd say their sexual orientation they'd say they were (insert "g" word), not homosexual.

tls moderators are so (insert "g" word).

The pinnacle of maturity: taking offense to a word that sounds naughty.
