I'm guessing you got the ~106k offer from GW?

I was looking at GW's breakdown of COA. What are loan origination/guarantee fees? If you're not taking out loans, do you still have to pay those?

And where did you get the $74.4k from? I know it's not the 2010-11 COA because that number is around 4k lower, and the 2011-12 COA hasn't been released yet (at least to my knowledge). So, is that your estimate?

74.4k is official. It is in the acceptance packet and it is stated on the financial award breakdown after you submit the finaid form that they ask you to submit.

ETA: The extra 4k breaks down into an extra 2k for tuition and an extra 2k for rent.

I doubt it considering that wouldn't make any sense. I'd email the finaid office for any questions you may have. They've been pretty quick with responding to me.
