I just wish that I was able to retake college. I'll let you guys have most of the T14. I want GW with their half scholarship and housing ($125k value over 34 years). That is what would make me really happy.
Thinking on it - can I go back to college for 1 more year and pull my GPA up?
No you already have a bachelors so that doesn't work.
Good luck with GW! But see here is my point, you are not worried about your LSAT. But we are.

169: retake (I think most of us would)
179: slap in the face
170: take it like a man!
I retook the 168. The universe laughed at me.
I'll leave your clubhouse now though- after all- I'm T14 status now, so I can't complain or something.
I wouldn't laugh because I would retake it.
Please stay ... I think most of us are T14 status.
I actually created this to see how my fellow 170ers are doing, but apparently we turned out to be all asses...
The universe laughed because I got a 168 again

Anyway, quite a few of us have gotten into NYU, so that's not really a problem anymore. But yeah, if you take my Columbia away from me, I'ma have major sadface.

Oh right. So it's up to HYSCC?
Did any 170 get NYU RD?

170, 3.5X here
I was ridiculously excited when I first got my score... then I found TLS. I'm still pretty proud of it though haha. I'm really hoping its enough to score me Cornell or GULC.
As to which score is the most torturous, I really don't think 170 is that bad. 166-169 you're thinking "if only I had gotten those 2-3 more questions right, I'd have a 170." 163, you're wishing you broke 90th percentile. I feel like 170 marks a pretty big threshold, and I'm just glad I broke it, although I have to admit I was pretty burned for a few months thinking that if I had gotten those two more questions right I'd be in the 99th percentile, I'm pretty much over it now though. 170 was my highest PT too, so obviously I wasn't expecting it, gotta love that Dec '09 curve.
Anyway, proud to be reppin 170.

My fingers are still crossed. 170/3.84 so I'm hoping I might get shown some love in the 2nd wave. Come on NYU, I've had a purple water bottle for 5 years, this should count for those extra few points!

I like how you show off our accomplishments in the OP. Should we list which of the T-14 the 170's have gotten into?
Harvard (URM)
Columbia (ED)
NYU
Michigan
Virginia
Berkeley
Penn (ED)
Cornell
Duke
Georgetown
When you look at it, it seems like a lot of the schools that have given out acceptances have taken a 170. Yay for us!

I will do a spreadsheet during the break, so I can list the in/out/wl at T14.

FINALLY!! People who get me! I've become estranged from my family and friends with stress and worry this cycle. To think I was one blown LG deduction away from my PT average of 175! Hang in there my 170 brothers and sisters!

This 170 has been accepted to schools as high as... William & Mary. And waitlisted at Illinois.

Love this thread! I too scored a few points below what I know I am capable of. I kick myself every time Michigan and NYU decisions have come out (and I'm sure I will feel like this once Penn RD decisions come out soon). I keep thinking if I'd retaken for a few more points I'd be in already, or paying less to go to the great schools I've already been accepted to.
I have no regrets about my gpa. I think it feels like its much easier to get a few more points on the LSAT. A month or two more of studying sounds much better than several semesters of less time having fun than more time in the library. Too bad it isnt as easy as it sounds.

My best acceptance is UCLA with waitlists at Michigan and Duke. I'm starting to feel I will be shut out of the top 14.

I love this thread. I was one MISBUBBLE away from a 171. Actually, not a misbubble, I rebubbled without erasing the incorrect answer completely. 171 is a HUGE jump from 170. Maybe even bigger than the jump from 169 to 170.
Ugh.

I conquer. I would withdraw my app if you can get in. Seriously. (but since I am not going to get a slot anyway... it's probably pointless)

FWIW, I applied last cycle with a 170/3.6, and my T14 results were:
-ED at Chicago: WL
-Berkeley: In
-Penn: In w/40k+
-Michigan: In w/30k
-Duke: In w/50k+
-Cornell: In
-UVA (RD): WL
I was particularly surprised by P and B, since LSN didn't bode that well for my numbers.

Wow, killer cycle (except UVA...
)! Did you have some sort of amazing soft?
Where did you matriculate? Do you have a link to your LSN?
Thanks!

Man, my 6 questions wrong on LG, a section I usually end up with -0 on (got the entire last game wrong due to a botched rule) haunt me. I wish I would have just bubbled a couple of them in correctly for a 171/172, oh well
.

I am a fellow 170/3.6er and I now feel like a failure.

thanks for posting this!! there's always so much negativity revolving around LSN predictions on here, so it's nice to hear someone who transcended the odds
